From what I’m seeing so far, I also think this is the first time where a Kojun Works piece has made an impression on me – albeit still feeling it’s not as good as it could be.

I would only be in the market for a suited Catwoman but I feel this level of treatment and price is reserved for all-time favorite characters, and TDKR Catwoman isn’t that for me (as much as I like her character and portrayal).

I’ll wait for INART lol.

So far, for my Nolanverse TDK collection, I’ve got OATY Begins, INART Joker, Hot Toys Bane 2.0 and Hot Toys DX19 which I’ll sell off once INART comes out with their TDK Batman. When I think about it, yeah it doesn’t make a lick of sense for me to give Catwoman the JND treatment. I think the only Nolanverse character I’d give that “JND honor” to would be the Begins Nomex Batsuit (if it looks good), so until then, I can’t say this Catwoman would be a realistic option for me.

I think the lighting is washing out some details so I'll reserve full judgement, but this looks really good so far! I wish they found a way to do rooted for both sculpts but I get it with the hairstyle. I'm also not sure if this is a character I'll spend a ton of money on, and I'd hate to miss out on Selina but if Catwoman is a statue there's no way I'm buying a two-pack, I wish they'd just have the full reveal already lol

I don't usually buy into the "it's different in person" argument. But I've heard from seasoned collectors that JND's silicone statues really don't capture well in pictures, and have to be seen in hand to be appreciated.

When it comes to JND's punched in hair method, I don't love it. I don't think it looks as natural as glued on hair, and I certainly don't think it scales as well for 1/6 scale (based on what I'm seeing so far).

It's only looked good on 1/1 busts I think.

Interesting choice
Yeah possibly!

I think the maid/incognito look figure is unique and beautifully made, and to me, it seems JND Kojun Works likes to explore secondary and tertiary looks that I personally wouldn’t ever consider for a 1/6 collection. The fact they’re doing these looks for TDKR Catwoman is something I’d never expect. While not for me, I think it’s cool for those whom want to get their hands on all types of outfits and looks beyond the traditional main look.

Little side story: There’s someone on FB and they have a collection focusing on Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, Amber Heard’s Mera, and Armas characters, and they have pretty much all of their appearances 😅 and I think that’s cool, but not a mindset I share for my own collecting philosophy. If I were them, I’d just go for one or two (depending) look(s) for the character, that I deem ‘definitive’ or ‘favorite’. I think they’re a big DC fan and they also have JND pieces so I’d assume this set would be right up their alley too!

Different strokes for different folks.

That being said, I think I’ll tend to gravitate towards the main looks and given the Begins Batsuit is my sure-fire favorite character and costume design in the entire trilogy, that’s the one I’d be open to wanting from JND Kojun.

Yeah, their choices are odd sometimes.

On the topic of rooted hair, I've been wanting to get this off my chest, but I didn't want to say it in the Hot Toys Artisan thread.

I'm seeing inconsistency with their output (Hot Toys) not too dissimilar to Inart's.

Some of these Jokers I'm seeing look absolutely horrendous, lol

And I really don't like how thick stranded and uniform the hair looks either. That's probably why people are praising the sculpted portrait. It's not that the sculpted hair is particularly exceptional. It's that the rooted hair is below standard. I'd argue it's worse than the sculpted even.

Not good for what they're charging.

The results don't reflect the added cost either.

Is there a frontal shot of the headsculpt? I think it's the nature of the silicone and the way the light hits it but the nose is too smooth making it rounded and larger than it is. Anne's nose has some angular definition which can be seen by the light and shadows but doesn't really show that well on the silicone sculpt and somewhat throws the likeness slightly off.

I agree that some photos can definitely make them look worse lol, I have one JND statue and it looks about as good as the excellent photos I saw from many Korean collectors, but other photos lost lots of detail and distorted the proportions. I don't take photos but I can see it's a bit translucent and I can make it look super orange in bad lighting lol. For most of my figures, it feels like only a few collectors can capture how they look in-hand, so I just wait for the best photos to show up lol

And that makes sense about the hair punching, I find it really distracting if not done perfectly so maybe it's for the better they sculpted it for Selina, even on my statue it looks a bit like a wig at the hairline, but it's Mera so it actually was a wig and it doesn't bother me lol

You're right @HyperDrive

I think I need to exercise restraint here, and a little more patience. I've just been really eager to get a JND piece in hand for so long. And based on the reports / rumors / leaks, there doesn't seem to be anything in their 2025 roadmap that's of interest to me. Which means I'll be holding out until 2028 potentially until I get my chance.

Maybe the reports were fake. I don't remember them, but they did include Catwoman.

Decisions... Decisions...

You mean Pfeiffer Catwoman, right? I know how much that particular iteration means to you. See, I can sympathize with you cause I’d also be down and eager to get my hands on a Kojun piece, but yeah, nothing I’m super interested in (yet…)

Nevertheless, I think this could be a fine piece, especially if you’re able to split it up with Holo or someone else!

A dilemma indeed if the roadmap isn’t too favorable.

This is the first time I'm impressed by a Kojun Works product. The civilian figure appears to be in a different league from any licensed figure I've seen. And I'm eager to see it in person. Just a shame it's not a character / movie I like better.

I wrote off Rises after skipping Bane. At least until Inart / JND announces one. But if I somehow sink my teeth into this, I'd have to reevaluate my TDK trilogy plan to accomodate for it.

I normally stave off from characters that don't have a huge appeal for me. That's the smart way to collect. But damn it if this isn't seriously tempting me.

I just love the look.
I love the piece.
Superb craftmanship.

Are we expecting the civilian look to get a release on its own? It's likely a type C exclusive. Otherwise it certainly helps me talk myself into it.
I feel the exact same way. This just looks so good, despite me not loving the character or the movie. While I did buy the first HT version, I sold it and had zero regret and have had no desire to get another Hathaway Catwoman figure but the likeness is so good on this one that I am actually a little tempted to get it.

Nope, Hathaway's. Which makes me more inclined to believe the reports were true.

I wish they decided to lead with Pfeiffer instead. That's my top choice for a JND figure at this point. I'm even interested in a civilian figure (though preferably not what they chose for their 1/3).

On a sidenote, I'm not really impressed with their statue. I'm hoping their 1/6 would be better, and it very well could be.

I skipped Jazzinc's figure.
I had my reasons.

There's a slim chance that Hot Toys could take a stab at this, and I would be interested if they put in their best effort. But I'm rooting for JND. I want the Kojun Works treatment.

I see this and wish they'd make Brand and Cooper from Interstellar.

And TARS

I talked about this in the Ledger Customs thread (unironically).

This would be my grail.
But at $3K+ I'm priced out.

Sorry Scout, I misread lol

And yeah I hear ya. May we one day get all the figures we’d like to have in our collections.

I’ll try to be a bit less harsh on JND, I mean the ideal want is for these companies to excel and deliver great products for their own respective markets. I’d also like the Kojun Works treatment if done right.
