Just got home and had a chance again to look on a bigger screen. I thought it looked fantastic already, but that is without a doubt the finest looking Ledger Joker in 1/6 I have seen. I was thinking just going with the single release, but actually, seeing the second sculpt clearer it looks like it can be a fun version of the interrogation scene... hmm. This is frustrating now.

The tailoring and hair look exceptional. I just hope they keep the level of white on the face, the only difference really between the proto of their 1/3 and final release was the reduction in white. This looks perfect as-is, and that likeness is at max for sure.

Honest question: are you secretly Kojun?

A "hit me" version would have made me break instantly. Will wait for final reveal. But doubt I will get this, InArt is all I need.

I’d just like to show off what JND’s prototype-to-final-product can look like - specifically with Ledger’s Joker.

Final:

And with how expensive this is, this’ll be a much bigger NRD to gamble on.

They could show off the most amazing prototype ever seen but still squander it. They’ve never done mass-produced 1/6 scale figures before, and they’ve crammed a whole lot of experimental features into this guy, and we have no clue how those will hold up.

Not sure about the last one but the other one is definitely not how it would have been shipped to them, that hair is completely been F'ed with, and not in a good way. Mine is exactly how it shipped to me aside from I cut the fringe to be more in line with their proto.

I must admit when it comes to comparing the minutia of Ledger Joker likenesses there are truly some obsessive passionate folk out there.....
crazy stanley kubrick GIF

But seriously the tech innovations with this piece are really interesting, but probably completely unnecessary for this character and I can't help but fear some people are gonna feel sick spending over a grand on a figure that may deteriorate in a matter of a few years.
For me - I could visibly tell the difference between my old Hot Toys Joker and the new Inart one, and so I could justify and was happy to upgrade.
But this and the HT Artisan offerings.... I dont see much difference when I compare to the Inart.

Zooming out a bit, I don't think it was the best approach by JND to release (or were they "leaked"?) these shots showing everything in the set before showing the detail shots.

The added value of this set is the new tech. Silicone, seamless articulation, glass eyes, etc. These shots focus on all the shortcomings compared to the other sets - not many hands, not the accessories people for hoping for, dogs, etc. You can't even make out the sculpts, which is what everybody wants to see obviously.
Once the full pictures are released, I do expect more praise for this again.

On a semi-related note, I've never seen a single picture of that statue that makes it look good. He just doesn't look human to me.

I'll be honest I felt pretty disappointed when I first unboxed mine, and it was my first dive into high end collectibles too. But I think mine can look 80% similar to the proto above, it really depends on the angle though. I would hope the sculpt to be much better on this new Joker

More fair to compare protos but we don't really have a good one of JND yet...

Of all 3 rooted Jokers InArt seems to be the only one that managed to accurately depict Ledge's big forehead and receding hairline, Hot Toys and JND seem to have a more idolized version of it.
However all 3 have really thick unnatural hair while Ledger's was obviously thinning, at these prices Kojun better start plucking out some hairs from that silicone head if they really want their version to be the most screen accurate and lifelike of the bunch.

I'm not sure if they give any importance to the collectors'/customers' feedback or concern bro. Heard from almost every one that they are way too stubborn with their choices.
I think it depends as it seems they don’t listen to social media feedback but if you email them, they tend to respond from what I heard. They’re changing the pants color on their TLC Indy as one of our own members was in communication with Daniel and sent them the accurate fabric swatch to which they replied that they would give it to the design team or something to that effect.
