The people who bought the Inart set already knew it wasn't the end all be all Joker, and the people buying this figure should know that as well. Either one is good, but both leave a lot to be desired for the obsessive collector in pursuit of a near flawless, accurate, and realistic representation.

As somebody who already owns the rooted Inart Joker, it's absolutely non sensical to dip into this JND figure. The next logical upgrade would be to dive into customs.

I don’t really see that to be true personally, I dip into them all and this JND release has finally done a few things customs haven’t really done yet. Better teeth than customs, hair punched one strand at a time, the coat actually sits flush against the body with perfect buttons running down it as well as on the coat sleeves. The two lines that run down through the coat pockets that features one stopping short, the pocket flap to close the coat, the dirty white cloth band on the grenade rig as well as all of the bands featuring elastic as opposed to inaccurate leather, the hook where the finger pull ring slips onto. Socks and shoes are better. Best licensed tie, second only to Dino. There’s plenty here, but it’s not flawless.

Then it’ll leave indents on the suit and mess it up lol.
The cheap ones already do that with HTs haha. Perhaps IA or JND can produce a better quality suit.

I think this is the route I’m going instead of the JND. Think I’d be happier getting Mike Yuan or Heise to redo the hair and paint on the InArt heads rather than going for the JND. I’m still holding onto my HT Artisan PO as well

Is the overcoat still too long or is it accurate now?

Looks about right here, maybe a little, I think we’re just used to shorter coats honestly.

The glued hair we see on customs still looks a lot more natural than the punched in hair on the JND figure, not to mention the strand thickness, and volume, and styling, and color variation.

The coat is really nice though. And the technological innovations certainly hold an appeal. I do want to see that silicone and glass in hand some day. But it will have to be a different figure. Perhaps a Joaquin Phoenix Joker. Inart may be locking theirs in a 3 pack. At least JND is giving options.

Oh JND will do it, but it’ll be the same story here, not many want to pay 1k for a single 1:6 figure which makes Inart the appropriate medium for those collectors.

Joaquin is a special case because you won't see him under 1k anyway due to licensing conditions. If Inart was offering the single red jacket figure with the diorama in a reasonably sized box, for a grand I'm in. But they won't be doing that.

JND will, perhaps not a full diorama but those aren’t very useful imo. I’d personally just prefer a classy base like we’re getting with this. I see JND doing the Arthur & red suit 2 pack as well as a single red suit figure.

Normally I agree, but that seated pose capturing the talk show scene.. That is a definitive representation of that film for me personally. And yeah, it's unlikely that will be JND's direction. A battle damaged T2 would be the best they could do, but that's a silly man's dream

Thank you for these photos, I feel much better about the coat now, they actually seem very accurate.
Someone needs to offer a metal utility belt and batarangs. I’m over the cheap HT belts that fall apart.
Metalic utility belt for sure, maybe inart will do that. As long as it's not too heavy that it damages or creases the suit. I'm sure they will figure it out.

Let's talk bases, I think personally JND and HT are tied, but JND feels more statue or premium like. So JND>HT>Inart.
Inart is simple but they could have done something more interesting than a flat purple base.

It’s clear they’ve done their homework, the bottom of the waistcoat stops almost exactly where it does on Heath, a ways above the third coat button down.

Do you all think the sculpt will have problems in the future being silicone?
It should be fine knowing it’s wrapped around a skull and not just stuffed. I would treat it like a collectible and not an action figure for photography in a lot of poses. Swap out a hand, give him the detonator, that sort of thing. I treat figures as shrunk down clothed statues to preserve joints.

I'd say I liked Inarts, if it could actually hold the figure!

JND's base does look the most premium
