Just for clarity, JND has mentioned that their silicone manufacturer guarantees 30years minimum but with proper care and maintenance to expect it to last even longer.

But, as Vision said in AOU,

Also, apparently sold out for direct JND orders. I know nothing about this character but see it all over as far as collectibles go so I guess he’s pretty popular. I know very little about anime so not trying to take a jab.

It would help if we had some real world examples of actual silicone statues, but it’s just all too new in its implementation 🤔

I guess the closest thing I saw were recent photos of the puppet used for Baby Sinclair and it wasn’t doing too well LOL. And that show ended 29 years ago.

I definitely hear you on that. You don’t want a $2k+ statue melting on you after a couple years. I think most of the Cinemaquette statues are getting close to the 20 year mark and haven’t really heard anyone mentioning those turning to goop :lol I think even cinemaquette themselves “found” some old stock of their Indiana Jones fairly recently and put them up for purchase. I think member Pizza bought one and still looked brand new, so hopefully that’s at least something of a good sign if JND’s is supposed to be even higher grade silicone. If it is medical grade, then ideally it should last quite awhile.

It sold out now , apparently it sold out in 1 second in Korea... how that even possible lol

Because that's what the puppets were made from.
Okay yeah I don't think silicone will break down like foam latex does but I am interested to know after the 20-30 years at great quality, how fast does it deteriorate after that or if it can then be decades of it just slowly changing/getting weaker
