BEAUTIFUL photos. Thanks Mandible, They got REALLY close with this didn't they. Lighter eyebrows would have made all the difference. Oh well. It's still a very impressive looking piece and I'm itching to receive mine from ToysRemz Collectibles now! Thanks again

I don't think the lighter eyebrows would be that hard to do - just a steady hand and the right brush and paint. Do a test on something else, but you should be okay.

Looking forward to seeing yours all set up!

I think it's quite a science to mix the paints for painting on Silicone. I'll seek some advice about it. It's amazing that the head looks a lot better without that inaccurately shaped Fedora on it. I'm baffled about how they could have screwed up the shape of Indy's most iconic and recognizable part of his outfit

Those first pics - left side of face, hat off - those are incredible. Cking - hopefully your hat guy can come through for an upgrade bc I think you’re right that the hat shape is what’s making it look slightly off from certain angles.
He's already come through with the hat sculpt. It's perfect. All we need to do is get the head opening size correct to make sure that it fits on the head without looking oversized (or too small).

Here's a photo where I'm holding the hat close to the camera with my highly accurate full size Raiders Fedora in the background (illustrating the accurate overall shape of the crown and brim).

JND only had the license given to them for Last Crusade for some reason. Not sure if they'll pursue the license for Raiders / Temple of Doom as they only set the edition at 100 for the single Indy.

Are you going to do they paint job, or are you getting the person that prints them to do it?

Yes, from THAT angle, they did a fantastic job on it. That's definitely the optimum viewing angle of the portrait I would say. It just appears to be a painted polystone head in that photo compared to how it looks in Mandible's images. Same thing happens when I shoot pics of the Reeve Superman with my phone. Nowhere near as realistic as it looks in person.

Great shots here. Think the likeness looks better without the fedora perhaps.
Oh yes - 100% that likeness looks better without the hat.
It's amazing that a hat which is not accurate can make us perceive that the head is also off, but in reality - the head sculpt is actually very good - particularly from that left side. They messed up that hat sculpt and it's not doing ANY favours for the piece.

I really hope your new hat sculpt looks better with his portrait. Your hat already looks better in isolation. I look forward to seeing it on Indy. Will you be painting the hat if it looks as you want or will you have someone else paint it?

I hope so too. This custom hat on its own is superb. We just need to work on getting it scaled to fit the JND head properly because I don't want it to appear over-sized like the JND hat.
I will be looking to get it painted, but may paint one up myself first to get a better feel for how it all looks together.
