Awesome. Looking forward to hearing what you think about it when you've opened it up!

What are these silver pins for?

They were included in a small plastic bag but could not figure out what to do with them.

Clark Kent is definitely the star attraction for me since we’ve gotten so many Reeve Superman statues/figures before but rarely any love for Clark. I just love the expression and little touches like the watch, newspaper, glasses, the jacket half folded, etc.

After seeing some of the early photos of Superman, I was bracing myself to be disappointed with the head sculpt - it’s not perfect by any means but I believe it turned out excellent, the likeness stronger at an angle than straight on. To use the old cliche, sculpt looks better in hand than in photos.

The red on the trunks and S symbol (and even the blue suit to a certain extent) are darker than I remember from the movie - I think another collector posted the shade looks more like Evil Superman 3. I might be misremembering but I guess that’s a disappointment if the shade of red is not movie accurate.

Yeah that’s a really close match if it looks like it does here, in hand. Only thing I’d say is the red could be a tad more vivid.

Jim Bowers from Capedwonder.com took the JND photo on the left AND the photo of the original Reeve tunic on the right (now owned by Jay Towers). Jim said that the blue is fantastic but the red should be a little darker. (The yellow fabric had faded on the real costume, so is not useful for comparison purposes on the yellow colour).

Having seen the original costume fabric in person - plus seeing a couple of authentic costumes on display by Propstore, it IS surprising how dark the suits are when you see them in real life. I guess studio lighting etc really brightened them up a lot for what we see on screen vs how it looked in reality.

It's definitely correct for "hero" Supes instead of "evil" Supes from Superman 3.

A custom made cape with the proper darker red would elevate the piece to new heights for sure. Someone is bound to commission it, only tricky part would be to get the emblem on the back.

Rest assured, I will be working on that as soon as I've received mine and will keep people posted about the possibility of getting a run of them made. They would certainly be more accurate than what JND have put on there as I've got very detailed measurements from several full size authentic capes. Would just need to see where the measurements need to be tweaked (if at all) to fit correctly into the JND tunic neck.

Is jim bowers review available to read/watch?
If so, do you have a link?

He's been posting photos on instagram. He doesn't do video reviews. I've been friends with him for many years so have just been chatting with him about it in messages.

I'm going to try and print out a backdrop to put behind my dual set. Something along these lines but ideally, it would be great to find a "street level" view of the Daily Planet entrance revolving doors with sign above them, but I haven't been able to find an image of that yet.

You’ve ordered the single correct?

Sixth98 seems to be the best option,
It isn’t glass but plexiglass so you’ll need a proper cleaner for it.

There will be plenty of space above the statue, comes with your choice of LED strip or spot lights, choice of cool or warm lights.

I’d recommend ordering it from someone else instead of direct due to their possible wait times.

Yes sir, the single

This is perfect , I see they have a corner option as well, I think that’s the one!

What light color would you recommend on supes?

Cool light all the way for me, much more flattering.

Though you have the ability to add a warm strip to an order for a small additional fee so you can see which appears more favorably in hand. The extra cost is nothing in comparison to the statue or case, best to explore all possible avenues in advance.

Don’t put the LED strip up in the back like pictured, place it towards the front up against the aluminum frame for a better light coverage. Spot lights don’t really do much and casts shadows.

You can also toss these things onto an Amazon smart plug and can turn the display on and off via your phone (Alexa app), or voice if you have an Alexa device.

I own their DF1801, in hand there’s truly no better display to be had than hiring a professional carpenter.
