Statue JND Studios: The Dark Knight - Ledger Joker 1:3

I know, you've told me many times you're not a fan of the Prime 1 piece lol. Personal opinions I guess. I feel like all the Ledger statues have got something right, but none of them really nailed it except maybe the QS 1/4 But we haven't seen production yet and my only issue with it is I wish it was in 1/3 scale because then it would crap on everything else.

I'm probably gonna end up with all of them at some point anyway Tbh lol.

Did you see the in person pic of the statue it looks terrible. Go look on face book typical Prime one. Looks almost as bad as the old side show one. Hopefully its one of those first pics type thing. But it isn't looking good.

Man, that's one gorgeous looking statue.

JND has been quite transparent about their process and pricing. Honestly, with talented in-house artists I'm surprised that they make as many of these as they do. Happy they do though, it's already hard enough to secure a pre-order.

Oooft, just came from the Prime 1 thread and caught up on that.

It exemplifies for me one of the main reasons JND are expensive and worth it: Their promise of proto to end product in your hand. The item you are pre-ordering is pretty much give or take exactly what you end up with.

When the production piece doesn't come anywhere near close to the prototype, what's the point? It no longer looks like value for money. If anything, it now looks overpriced, and all of a sudden the more expensive JND looks like a much better buy.

I don't know what's going on with Prime 1 lately but they really need to sort out their production.

Well, if you can find a JND Joker I would pick it up. But Idk where to find one. I ordered directly through JND. But if you can find one. You don't know what you're missing out on. I immediately ordered right when it came up, same with QS these companies give you what the production piece looks like. I couldn't believe the pics on P1 joker. Hopefully just bad pic. But it doesn't look good. I don't want to keep beating a dead horse but hopefully you got QS at least. Peace

I got the QS. I'm waiting on my local supplier in Australia to confirm if he has a spare JND for me. I won't know until they get their batch next month. If I miss out I'm not too bothered, but I'd definitely like to get one if I can as I want to pair it with Batman.

Ya, its a fantastic statue, U got it the day I got COVID, U still feel like death. But I still put it together. That's passion lol. Because I still feel like death and that was Monday! just the way it looks, right out of the movie. only flaw is the hair. But other than that I don't see any other issues. Great don't miss out man. Hopefully it works out. I think people did expect it to be this good and it really is. I can not wait for QS next the artist edition. That will conclude my Joker statue collection. Rather getting that crap P1 bomb, I have the bust on Po but now I think I will cancel it. After seeing many awful pics. Peace, good luck!

This turned out awesome. I never doubted JND, their production pieces are virtually identical to what was advertised. Why can't all companies be like them?

This 1/3 not only has commanding presence, it looks bloody real, like his really pissed off and crazy mad. They've managed to imbue the emotion in that specific scene into a statue collectible. That's freaking incredible. It's a miniature of our great Ledger, nothing else on the market comes close to this.

I think that's one of the biggest pluses to the statue ( I won't retread my criticisms of the piece, altohugh to clarify it's almost perfect in my opinion), but the presence and the emotion that permeates the entire piece and what it exudes is top tier. This for me encapsulates everything of what collecting is and what I want in it; and I suppose that's JND in a nutshell and what they sell themselves as... Hyper-real movie statue. This is hyper-real and actually feels like I'm looking into Heath standing on set shooting that scene.

I think the next step up will be by JND with Harley Quinn. Going to get a joyful expression with dentures, glass eye, eye lashes, real hair and probably the most silicone used for skin across a statue, that'll be the one to watch.

Just stumbled upon this - caption said it was made for JND studios, and there isn't any other JND studios I can think of that does DC collectibles:

this was the unlicensed verson was like 8 grand because they did not have the license to do it. I was going to buy it. But no way could I afford it. But look on youtube it is on there.
