I love Johnny 5, but not $500 dollars worth... also, is it just me or does it look a little soft on details. Might just be that it looks plastic, but I'm not feeling this as a high-end item.

I dont know what it is but he looks like cheap plastic to me. Cool, but no were near worth $500.

I think it looks great im shure alot of you have always wanted a j5.:D

I'm sure its a great quality piece, but, like I said, it looks like cheap plastic. Could just be the pix, but thats what it looks like.

I think $500.00 is a steal for it he should be selling it for more hand built hand painted and RARE.Everyone I know of who has one is more then happy with theirs. You have to understand how much time goes into makeing one of these since it is made by hand.
The quaility is very great the detail is fantastic I know for a fact the pics do not do it justice.

So is this your auction, or do you own one yourself? I agree that side-by-side its pretty impressive... very good for 1/5 or 1/6 scale but I don't think its quite the second coming :monkey3

Why don't you buy it then?

I seriously hope this is not your auction, because your description is a bit over the top. It looks decently cool, but I agree that it looks plastic and cheap. The original pictured above is clearly all metal.

No this is not my auction the guy who makes these and I are very good friends. This project means alot to me im just shareing the info in case anyone is interested. Not many people know their is a nice collectable of johnny 5 in the world.

I own 2 of his Johnny 5 robots.

Just to let you know that this Johnny 5 from the auction is based off short circuit 1 not 2.Your picture is johnny 5 from short 2 he has diffrent arms and a tool box in short circuit 2.

Also this johnny 5 is not made to be a exact replica but it looks incredable to me and to all of the other short circuit fans who own one.I guess you would have to be a big short circuit fan to understand. For years fans have dreamed of owning a toy or something incredable of johnny 5 and this is the closest anyone will ever get.

I wondered if I had the wrong image of J5 or not... its hard to find a full body shot of him from the first movie. And like I said it is a very good piece, and I would love to have a J5... just not love it $500 worth. But the real question is can his figure do this:
