:lol

as I was watching this movie and posting here,
I was semi kind of defending it . or at least saying that it was a study on law, prison and mental illness.

but it's just too much of a disgusting and depressing movie.
it's misery **** .might as well be a psychological horror movie. it has a lot of elements to be horror,

and the ones you completely forgot. madam web borderlands.

It is a depressing film, so is the first. I've seen far bleaker and more depressing, I definitely wouldn't call it misery ****, it's certainly tragic, speaking of the first film explicitly. The second film is also yeah, it shows, and in real life it does happen; obviously, that people are attracted to cults of personality, and in return absolute nobodies of all sorts delve deeper and deeper in these personalities that people rally behind. Just so happens Fleck/Joker is just a scared traumatized character that isn't what people think him to be, but he's unwittingly created something bigger.

Problem is it's a Joker film, but it has such good concepts that wouldn't be as watched without the DC skin. It wants its cake and to eat it too, and yet, Philips always created it as such, I just can't fault what he created through that, he's never hid it. Also can't fault people for hating it.

I absolutely love the first one, and I really like the second, so... I don't know, I've got two films that I really like and am glad exist, lucky me! :D

he does kill the judge with a hammer, in a musical dream sequence he has lol.
May be the whole thing should be viewed as a dream and then some of us wake up. I saw the picture yesterday with no expectation and whilst it did not deliver for me JP gave another impressive performance of an individual living in a world of soup using a fork.

Save the “he wanted to subvert expectations in an artistic way bs”.

In reality, Todd knew exactly where he was supposed to take the sequel were he to make one.

You continue on a heightened crescendo off of the first films back, without being a cookie cutter sequel.

He knew the only reason anyone clamored for a sequel was to see his take on Joker fully realized.

Or are we to believe he was dumb enough to think we were eagerly signing up for two extra hours of Arthur’s oh so depressing life?

Save it, if the studio wanted the film to be a success, they would have seen to it that there was more Joker in Joker.

They’re not dumb, they have eyes, review data, they all knew the Murray scene and final act was what everyone was raving about, not because Arthur kills someone, the effect wasn’t the same when he kills Randall.

The impact was only there because of the transformation.

Thankfully the cop that did it wasn’t a big time actor or else headlines could’ve read a little differently.

______ stars in JOKER.

Joker got sodomized in a big Hollywood blockbuster before we got GTA 6.

and even Dexter kind of ended up that way,
they couldn't give Dexter a happy ending.
