Joker: Folie à Deux

Can’t ruin joker for me. Can’t ruin venom for me and you can’t ruin characters I love. EVER. I’m at thst age where some of my favs are being dragged through the mud and not as good as they once were.

Spider-Man comes to mind. The story’s , the movies and cartoons all pale in comparison to what I had as a child but I grew up with some timeless classics for the character. I grew up with raimi and 90s tas and spectacular and ultimate comics. That’s what I see when I look back on the character. And I know he will bounce back eventually.

Tmnt is nothing like it once was and they’ll never be a movie that captures the 90s movie magic but despite this I still adore the franchise. And I hate the new stuff they’ve done . Some of it.

Don’t get me started on sonic .

One bad movie or something crappy won’t destroy my love for the character. Yea this joker may be tarnished but there is soooo many versions of him that are better and they’ll be many more.

When something is so timeless and gave you great joy as a child it’s hard to hate it. That’s why so many Star Wars fans still love the franchise. They still have those old movies and they will never forget how they made them feel.

I won’t let some hack. Director ruin my love for a character cause I know they’ll be a director someday that will do it a Justice or I can look back on find memories of Heath joker.

Also this is good for comparison sake. The real villainous joker from the dark knight. A movie from someone who actually wanted to make a good film. Made the joker pretty much destroy the entire police station and manipulate that one detective to get mad so he can use him as a hostage. That’s joker. Real joker would have never been abused by law enforcement to begin with.

It wasn’t the actual joker tho. While it sucked and was a waste of time it wasn’t the actual villainous joker.

just because Joaquin dumb Phoenix said he's not the joker in the movie. it doesn't change the visuals.

This needs to be scrapped entirely for the nxt The Batman film. They CANNOT include Joker for obvious reasons now. Just write him out.

I'm not surprised they went with this look tho. I've absolutely despised every single costume/makeup design for all the characters in it. Good movie, but I wanna vomit looking at the costume design choices.

Batman - meh
Catwoman - bleh
Riddler - uninspired trash
Joker - A disgrace

Penguin was fine. So there's that.

I don't know why Matt felt the need to rush and give us a Joker on the outset.

Because ever since Ledger, Batman has not been able to exist without a Joker, and it's turned into something of a plague really.

It sure could have been exciting trying to speculate what a Joker in this world would look like, not knowing this abomination exists.

Why are people going out of their way to connect that scene to Ledger? Nolan doesn't have Carte blanche on how Joker's scarred smile becomes a thing.

Scar face/deformed Joker is even in The Batman.

Why was it put there? Out of focus and all. I just saw it as a further meta jab, taking in TDK series as well.

All of this will become moot when Joker passes into public domain in ten years anyway, with Batman in a year less than that.
