It's funny, I was looking back through some DC direct items, and came across the 1:4 "Museum Quality" Joker statue...I remember at the time thinking "wow, that's pretty good! I may pick that up!".

Now, looking at it again, if that thing was Museum Quality, the SS Joker must be "Glued to the roof of the Sistine Chapel" Quality.

Batman needs to be revealed soonish. I'm abandoning my Marvel collection for DC, and it's proving to be a painful (though saving money is great!) wait for any reveals.

I hear ya MPC. It's amazing just how far these statues have come.

I can also imagine just how hard it must be to part ways with the Marvel line up, but with DC offically underway I think you'll have plenty to look forward too in due time.

I think alot of the value of the piece will be on how the paint turns out. the whole statue is covered in cloth except for the face and gloves and if the face looks nothing like the proto than you're going to be getting this statue below retail.

The detailed paint job on the proto is going to be hard to replicate in a factory in china.

I've been hoping that the painters will be able to get close to the proto's detail simply because they don't have much else to paint. SS really should keep the QC level for this piece very high as it sets a tone for the entire DC license going forward. We'll see in a matter of months.

which means there will be plenty more comic Jokers to be made including a LSF, which will mean nobody will pay LSF prices for a 1/4 piece when they can just get a LSF. Same thing with Wolverine type stuff. It's simple supply and demand, this pf will never reach $2k or anywhere close.

I'll refrain from any Wolf LSF jokes

Well said, they do need to set the tempo right on this, there is a lot of bad taste on the Marvel side of the house.

Our First Flexpay for this amazing PF is due tomorrow, April 10th.

We are getting closer and closer to the shipping date and I think tyis will be the most anticipated Premium Format of the year....

I hope the quality is as good as the prototype...

Well said, they do need to set the tempo right on this, there is a lot of bad taste on the Marvel side of the house.

They really do. I'd have to do a size comparison, but I paid $324.99 for my Thor PF several years ago, and it had to be close to double in size. For $349.99 (yes, I know, the DC license may be more expensive and all, but I'm merely doing a comparison from a materials standpoint), there is no reason there should be a quality decline in the last few years.

The last Marvel PF I bought was great (Wolverine Exclusive), but it seems pieces from last year had quite a few problems.

The last Marvel PF I got was Black Cat and her arse was perfectly rounded so no complaints here.

the ES on the DC line won't be small for anything. the DCD statues have numbers in the thousands
