But people know it's not genuine, especially since you know the EX edition size is 1,250 and the regular edition size is 2,500. It's not a true matched set.

I get what you are saying but if you don't care about the Ex head and someone else does then I can see selling it.

If you have a reg statue with the EX head sure you are not going to get top price for it as you would a full EX statue but if it becomes a hard to find piece I think you would be surprised to find that people would be willing to shell out a good sum of money to have a Reg edition with an Ex head.

It's like the Statues that sell high without the original box. They may not sell for as much as those with the box but they still sell well.

This is the smartest post in pages lol

Sell off just the ex head, thats just borderline retarted, sell off the base too and display it on a pile of play-doh. :stick :lol

why???

If you don't plan on ever selling your Joker and don't like ex head and don't plan on displaying it then why not sell it??

Yes it will lower the value of your statue but if you are a die hard Batman fan and don't plan on ever selling then who cares about the value??

If I owned the Reg and could not afford the Ex at the price it is going for now I would have no problem buying the EX head.

Hell I thought about selling off the Monkey Brains Ex from my TOD indy PF because I have no use for it. I will never sell that Indy so it's not really a big deal. You can find EX items for sale from time to time on Ebay. I have seen many prints go for sale on there. Rouge's Ex head has gone for as much as 150.00 and tends to sell at at least 100.00

Funny thing is A reg with an Ex head will probably be worth more then a Ex without the head.

It just doesn't make sense to me, if you don't want the ex head then what you wanted was a regular, forget value, if value is not an issue you can just give it away since you got your piece, but value is oviously important to you that's why you got the ex instead of the reg, it doesn't have to make sense to you, you do what you like with your piece, it just doesn't seem logical in my perspective, like stated before if you care about the piece and not the limited es and the ex head then the sensible thing to do is trade for a reg and cash, you get what you want either way, but if you just want to be awkward then you do as you say.

Plus not to mention that the person that you selling it to can't display it with the EX head on, assuming of course that the person that buys it doesn't have the EX.

Just buy both and sell the ex , to get some money back, sell ex will only lower the volue of the ex.

Or buy the EX sell the EX head and then have a great statue at half the price :)

Trading is not a bad idea but the person you are trading to just spent 300.00 + on his reg joker and now you expect him to pay more for a trade. Why not just buy an EX on ebay. You also up the risk all around with a trade (one of them gets lost, one gets broke, one member is not honest, both parties pay for shipping, etc...)

Thing is when this was released I loved the reg head. I hated the EX head. But I thought to myself. "Just buy the EX and then sell the extra head down the road" Value was an issue in the fact I was thinking I could get a great joker statue for half the price after all was said and done. They Ex and Reg were both the same price or close to the same price so why not?

However it turns out that I love the EX head and thus I won't be selling.

That is true but some members don't have the extra cash laying around on a gamble that it will increase in value.

Look I am not saying you should do it. It will lower the value of you EX. But if you don't ever want to sell it and you don't like the EX head then it is not a bad option to sell the EX head for a nice sum. You could probably sell it for at least 150.00 now. Perhaps more down the road. Not a bad deal. And if you decided to sell you statue for whatever reason you could probably sell it for whatever the reg editions are going for. You would still end up with a profit.

I tend to buy the EX because I am never sure if I will have to sell in the future and I might as well make a profit. I don't plan on selling this one but stranger things have happened.

In that case you can sell the exclusive at cost and just pick up a regular with the money, which still easy to get right now, maybe even at a discount, what a great deal would that be, get that piece you love so much below retail.

Well thats true. Personally that sounds like to much effort. You also risk getting a QC issue. Which would suck if you were already happy with your Joker. Sure there have not been hardly any but you never know.

Again I guess I just don't see the big deal. Unless you want to make a big profit which I can understand. But if you are looking to make a little extra cash then Selling the Head is an easy deal.

or sell the whole EX and basically have enough to cover the cost of your ex and get a free regular at the prices they are fetching.

if QC is an issue you can order from a local retailer and inspect the piece when you pick it up, or order direct from sideshow and still earn reward points and have their costumer service available. you cant lose, and if you give the buyer a good deal, you might just earn entry to collector heaven. :lol

So frustrated! I had to jump on the waitlist for the regular... we did manage to get in an order for a Joker PF before it went on back order for a customer here at my shop. His just arrived... #17 out of 2500! What are the odds... lucky guy. Oh well, can't wait for my mine to get here (fingers crossed by the end of the year).

When I say QC I am thinking more OCD. Things SS won't fix. I have seen a photo or two on here of things that would drive me nuts as a collector. Not major issues but things that would stick out to my OCD brain. I already had to fix a slight issue with the paint around the lips on My Joker. But I am aware that that is my OCD issues and not the majority of collectors out there.

I wish I had a local retailer. I live in the middle of nowhere.

:lecture:exactly: It just makes sense.
