Crows... what? I... are you... everyone knows that dude. I figured that out when I was like 7 and watching Kilborne do it for laughs.
I mean that's literally what made Stephen Colbert famous. Manipulating his interviews to the extreme most to be funny.
well with Colbert it looks obvious that he is messing up the interviews for laughs. He is playing a character, and the interviews tend to be silly.
The problem I got from the Daily Show is that, while they also used humor in their sketches, they were trying to push serious subjects into the viewers from a twisted perspective. A lot of their sketches were about serious issues and a lot of people buys into it. (Colbert also talked about serious issues but you knew he was in on the joke)
the Daily show interviews were more like "A-HA, SEE, THIS GUY IS EVIL AND HE REPRESENTS EVIL THINGS SO YOU MUST HATE HIM, LOOK AT HOW SARCASTIC AND WITTY WE ARE"
