Re: Jurassic Park 4

One thing is for goddamn sure, no more ****ing feathers please and make T-Rex King of the Hill again.

But of course. Still my favorite scene of all time in film.

:exactly: :goodpost:

:exactly: I want a huge T rex maybe the original one ****ing destroy the spinosaurus like it should have happend.

Also agree. Spino wasn't the alpha predator as the movie depicted (from what is actually known of it). The director just thought it looked cool.

which was wrong and stupid, the scene ruined jp3. The Rex was the main dino and to have it taken out like that crazy, it was a juvenile t rex in jp3, but it still would have taken spino out, to stong and powerful apex predator.

Re: Jurassic Park 4

Have they officially decided that (some) dinosaurs had feathers? I didn't like the feathered Raptors of JP3 myself.

There's a Chinese species of Tyrannosaur called Yutyrannus Huali that shows clear signs of bird-like feathers in the fossil samples that have been obtained of it. It did live in a colder climate than the North American Tyrannosaurus Rex, though.

Most paleontologists think it was a fish hunter due to it's crocodilian shaped mouth and large grasping claws. Even still, I wouldn't want to ever run into one if I had a choice. I once saw a skeleton of a Suchomimus, a smaller relative of the Spinosaurus, and just imagining those things running around alive was quite terrifying. Spinosaurus would probably be even scarier.

Does anyone subscribe to Ian Malcolm's view that we really shouldn't bring back Dinosaurs even if we could?

I do agree that they should stay gone. But I wouldn't mind seeing a living being of something that existed eons ago which has only existed with SFX and imagination.

Although it wouldn't be able to live as an animal and only be a research subject which would be cruel so that's a big no for me in the end.

And on a side note, Spinosaurus was a fish eater in reality and it's bite force was probably pathetic compared to Rex which in all likelihood had the most powerful bite force ever to exist on Earth. Rex wouldn't just eat flesh, it would crush the bone and eat the entire body.

Re: Jurassic Park 4

They should beef up the Rex in this movie tho. Make him scarier.

Re: Jurassic Park 4

When I picture Rex, it's this and not with ****ing feathers.

I know I've said this before, but that scene, is probably my favorite out of every film I've ever seen. I got chills when I saw that for the first time in the theater and still do when I see it again. Perfect balance of CGI and live action.

He was wrong.

:exactly:

he was a idiot who decided on that.

I agree with everything posted. I also agree with Boba that I wouldn't want to run into a real life Spino which was a formidable predator in its day too. However, up against the jaw & neck strength of a T-Rex (plus its other physical attributes), I'd say its no contest for the T-Rex. :lecture

Re: Jurassic Park 4

If Dinosaurs weren't wiped out, Rex might of evolved to the point where it didn't need arms anymore and it's legs and head would of just gotten larger.

Kills any nostalgia. I was hoping Attenborough would make a cameo at least. I guess the only hope I got left is that Rex is back.

Re: Jurassic Park 4

**** that sucks. I didn't know anything about his current status other than being alive. He was one of the only good things about JP2.

I saw it in IMAX 3D back in August. The film looked and sounded incredible and the T-Rex breakout scene was brilliant. Always was, always will be.

Re: Jurassic Park 4

Spinosaurus LOOKED great. The animatronic head looked incredible. It was a cool, ferocious design with vibrant colors. I just hear a ton of butt-hurt T-Rex fans arguing about a fake movie's depiction over two extinct animals that, to be frank, we still know close to nothing about their living/hunting habits. Really???
