Re: Jurassic World

I was thinking more along the lines of a Hamster Ball. It's like putting a live mouse in a hamster ball in a room full of cats.

Although we wouldn't see the havoc, gore and devastation we should be seeing with 10 ton dinosaur running around attacking people... because this film needs to be kid friendly.

Re: Jurassic World

Wasn't there rumors of a trained Rex though?

There was rumours but I think the raptors are the only ones connected to Owen (Pratt).

For everyone with concerns about this movie all I can say is...

We have Jurassic Park from 1993, it's my favourite movie ever and nothing will ever beat it. I'm just happy we're getting another dinosaur movie. :)

As much as I love that first one I prefer "The Lost World" the book is great too

Re: Jurassic World

Pretty damn terrible trailer. Ugh...
How can you **** up such a simple task as making me, 90s kid, feel nostalgic and hyped about something "Jurassic Park" related? H0W??? Whoever cut this trailer is a tasteless ass and whoever approved it is a moron.
Maybe it's just going to be a generic, forgettable movie in general. Let's give the poor trailer editor the benefit of the doubt!

Time for you to dust off your T-Rex sig Mr. Goose. :lecture

They can't turn away toy money.

Re: Jurassic World

:lol :1-1:

Really don't want this to be as bad as the awful trailer suggest.

My biggest fear is the washed out CGI... which the trailer was full of. I can take a lot of short comings with films, but if the main focus of the film is so heavily dependent upon CGI... and it's ****... :huh

Animatronics will probably be next to nil in this.

:slap

I used to have a bunch of JP toys, good times...

So you were 18 when you saw the original? Riiiight....

Re: Jurassic World

Jurassic Park is my favorite movie of all-time, but this trailer is completely missing the heart, soul, and magic of the original. It looks like another Hollywood CGI crapfest from this last decade.

The 'magic' of the original can't be recaptured ... for the same reason you don't marvel at the shark in Jaws 3. The difference is us, not the movie. We were capable of marveling at CGI dinosaurs in 1993 because high-quality CGI was cutting edge ... and we'd never seen a dinosaur. Now comparable CGI is commonplace, and we've seen dozens of movies with similar creatures over the last 20-years.

It's not them. It's you.

I thought the trailer looked good enough. About what you'd expect from a high quality fourth installment of the franchise. Seems like they want to do for Jurassic Park what Deep Blue Sea did for Jaws, particularly with regard to the genetic tampering creating a super-predator. Some innovation on how the story is told -- operational park, new creatures, trained animals, genetic modification -- but, ultimately, it's going to be more of the same. Dinosaurs on the loose chasing people. I'm fine with that.

I wish this was R rated...

Why?

I wouldn't judge the trailers CGI too harshly. That's all they'll be doing for the next 7 months. Absolutely tons of time.

I still can't believe that the original JP STILL has better effects than movies coming out today though. Holds up very well.

I sure hope to man. It needs a lot of polishing.

Early 90s CGI that still crushes today's standards is saddening.

Re: Jurassic World

Look we made a new dinosaur! Even more dinosaurier than all the rest!

The only thing that makes this trailer stand out is the nod to the williams theme, which probably won't be in the film either.

Probably right, only in there to get attention... which it did :lol

As much as I love that first one I prefer "The Lost World" the book is great too

I wanted an R rated JP too. But, as a kid, I would be devastated if I couldnt see the movie, and they know they would be screwing themselves out of a lot of Box Office revenue.

I mean, who loves Dinosaurs more than kids? Well, apparently GreyGoose does. ;)

Re: Jurassic World

Me too, shame they couldn't make a T-Rex worth a damn.

Yeah, I had this one:

But this one sucks, the other version was MUCH better but I never had the chance to get it
