I'm afraid so... My friend Ian bought a CM predator through BBTS at the $1999.99 USD retail cost. Final cost after shipping, taxes and duty was $3200 CDN. As a comparison, I bought mine through a private collector in the US right here on the forum and it cost me less than $2000 CDN INCLUDING shipping and duty.

Well finally after 7 years someone from sideshow actually called me.
Even though the shipping is out of control, he gave me hope that sideshow
actually follow up on international complaints. Maybe one of us CANADIAN
collectors could go and pick up our orders saying they were a gift from sideshow. Then ship them from CANADA only paying CANADIAN shipping.

actually i'm kinda stumped.

SS managed to bring the shipping for my vader 1:1 bust to US$120 but they had to charge me $60 for my 12" Ex vader

I would buy a lot more Exclusives from SS if shipping was more affordable. Now I only buy the 'must haves" from SS.

but I hate having to consider all the extra fees when making a purchasing.

my last order from ssc consisted of the Black Queen, Cap lsb, and the Berserker.
shipping was $115+/- usd and then i had to pay another $100 cdn for brokerage and taxes.
at this time the us and cdn dollars are fairly close, about 10% differance right now, so i paid either $230 cdn extra, or $200 usd extra. either way it's another statue i'm paying for that i never receive.
i know it's not as bad as some others, but it's still enough.

the canadian distributors warehouse is in calgary, unfortunately there is never any guarantee if they get any ex's or how many will show up.
ie: abomination came in to calgary and even though the order was upgraded to ex's from reg's they only got 4 of them, which sold out the same day as they arrived.
