The emotional depiction of that was quite impressive. I feel that the tech used in Uncharted 3 was slightly better (textures/facial mo-cap). Some of the mouth movements while she was talking seemed a little exaggerated. Impressive though.

I too hope something comes of this, if not a game, some sort of CG film would be most welcome.

Looks great - watched it twice. Heavy Rain was impressive and I commend Quantic Dreams for creating games that are out of the norm.

Another take away from this is, they did an incredible job at making you care about this character....in 7 minutes.

Yes, impressive. That's what you can do on the PS3 when you don't have to have an polygons/processing going to a realistic environment around them. Reminds me of the PS3 tech demo where they used the actual face of Dr. Octopus from Spider-man 2 that they used in the movie. Yeah it's impressive if you can build a game using just a head in an empty space.

The real question is whether all of those polygons and layers were still under her skin when she was running around. That is what they are trying to say with this demo is that she has all of those "muscles" and "heart" under her at all times (which would technically be a waste unless she could be destroyed/damaged during a game).

You can say that again. I was about ready to turn it off before it turned on a dime. Glad I watched it through.

David Cage may come off as pompous sometimes but you have to give it to Quantic Dream. They really masters at emotional gaming.

The way they make you care, and involved in a story is pretty impressive. If you recall the trailer for Heavy Rain was a good slap in the face as well.

*Shivers* Just plain creepy....

Not surprised Kara's essentially a robotic whore with artificial ****s. :lol

Is there a robotic whore with NATURAL ****s? :lol

Seriously, though, this is a beautiful video, and I only saw it in 480 res.

The premise was odd, though. He asks her to say something in various languages, but doesn't specify what. Unless those exact responses are programmed into every unit, it would make me think she had AI, and could think totally independently. It isn't like she asked him what he wanted her to say first. At that point, I would suspect independent thinking. After she shows independent consciousness, his first reaction is to disassemble her? Why not keep her for himself as a helper or something, or as a work companion? Just keep the head and torso if need be. I'm sure he could afford that. It makes me think that this thing has happened many times before. If so, why let this one go? It just doesn't make sense.

I would think it being a corporate company and all, they are pretty strict and probably have policies in place for such things. Who knows. I really hope they make a game in this "universe" they presented in the short.

In German and French she pretty much repeats the service intro she said in English.
In Japanese though she sings the traditional song 'Sakura, Sakura'.
