Yes, that is a VERY touching scene! If you listen closely to him as he talks he mentions that his superior officer told him that his wife and child both died in childbirth. Horrible tragedy. Pat Morita SHOULD have won an Oscar in 1984 for The Karate Kid! Yes, to me he was THAT good! :clap

Didn't it win the Academy Award for Best Movie Ever Made?

Joke stolen from Talladega Nights

I just bought the outfit for Danielson because I just got confirmation that work on the sculpts will start very soon!!!

Does anyone have any good images for the logo on the back of his karate suit?

Where did you buy the outfit for Daniel Larusso aka "Danielson"? I'm interested in a white karate "gi" outfit for him too.

Here's the pics of the figure, but 7toys parted out the gi:

It's still in the very early stages,
Initially for both Miyagi and Daniel.
My guess is the headband would be sculpted... but who knows...
it's up to the sculptor!

BTW, I was thinking this outfit would work perfectly for Mr. Miyagi, as well as the body, since it's shorter.
Unfortunately it's an old figure from In The Past Toys, so might be a bit hard to find...

As for Daniel, as I said, the Crazy Owners "Kung Fu" (ironic right?...) fighter might be a bit to big for a Slim body...

Hey guy I am going to start on these heads in the next week or so as soon as I’ve knocked out some more orders.

What I would like to know is would everyone like Daniel to have the head band sculpted in or have it as a separate fabric piece with his hair sculpted to look natural with the head band in place?

I'll go with the sculpted headband unless you'll be doing the fabric head band for the sculpt. Can't wait to see these guys!

I would rather have the headband be real fabric. Sculpting works for hats because they're rigid, but headbands flow and hang...I think having real fabric would add a lot to the overall look :rock

Tricky one.
Depending on the outfit people are gunna put together.

If I was putting together daniel in his karate outfit or the training sequences then I would want a head with real fabric head band depending on cost.
Interested to see your results:)

I'm fine with whatever you decide, but if you go with the non sculpted headband I have absolutely no idea how I'm going to make the headband. Any tips from you guys would be greatly appreciated!

I vote for sculpted headband... otherwise it might be a bit too tricky to accomplish the right look IMO...
As for the deco, didn't somebody did stickers for The Comedian's button?
Something similar might work?

Can't wait for these!!!
:rock!

Yeah, these are going to rock :hi5:

You're right, I trust Steven doing the headband for me more than a trust myself. I'm bound to screw it up so I also prefer the sculpted look because I know Steven is going to nail it.

Between you and Daniel, my customs are going to outnumber my mass produced figs very, very soon :thud:
