I get ya man I really do I'd rather pay less of course I would but like anything in life you get what you pay for. Doesn't matter if its a car, watch, holiday or home. Kato is the top of the pile when it comes to 1/6th clothing his prices reflect that extra level of quality he brings to the table. If your picking one of these up you certainly won't regret it when you have it in hand.

Agreed! Kato is the best of the best without a doubt. Can't wait for this!:clap

Price is looking around $270-$300 for JUST the jacket. Kato mentioned that Sean might be interested in weathering them. With the way Sean's recent activity, I'll take mine now than much much later. :lol

never denied he wasn't good...i guess i measure it by the matrix long coat which is also VERY detailed and wasn't as much....but it is what it is....i will still be buying this and the morpheus get-up...i have ALOT of Kato's clothing anyways...i always complain about the price but won't like it until i put up the collection together...:)...LOL

I agree. As much as I would want Sean to weather the jacket I would rather have it sooner than much later.

I think a lot of us are the same. I tend to complain about the cost of things on these boards but that doesn't mean I (and I'm sure you too) don't appreciate that craftman like Kato and Sean spend thier precious time making these things for us. I would never get these items otherwise. I just hope Kato doesn't take the barking about price personally. Keep up the great work Kato!

This is a cool piece, but im sorry, these are crazy prices. It amazes me that some peeps are so willing to pay so much.

For the serious collector who prefers that his figures look as real as possible it's worth the cost. What's interesting about the 1/6 hobby world were I primarily work in is its exacting level of detail and precision. Just like in my madmen diorama (in which I have a Kato draper suit), realism is of utmost importance to me. I want the viewer looking at photographs to not be able to tell the difference or be able to tell at all wether what they are looking at is 1:1.

Kato is probably the only one producing 1.6 clothing on that level. Not rainman, not iminime, not anyone else.

Come on now, i know various "serious collectors" that don't own a single of Kato's pieces. If you have the cash to spend it? good for you, but this way above the norm. Its kinda like guys who spend 5-10k on rims for their cars. And please dont get me wrong, his customs and skills are amazing, and i could afford the jacket, but its just a line i wont cross.

Fair enough. But just to be clear. For me a serious collector is one who spares no expense on his collecting. So by definition if money is the reason a collector refrains from purchasing a piece then he's not that serious about it. I don't have unlimited disposable funds but if I could every figure in my collection would be outfitted I kato clothes Is rather not have a figure than have it in mediocre state.

My man. :lol

I wouldn't say a collector isn't "serious" about collecting if he isn't wanting to pony up the cash for certain piece. I mean, let's be real. Kato is fabulous at what he does, not doubt about that at all. Myself....I've been a Punisher collector for over 26 years. I've bought just about everything I could get my hands on. I consider myself serious....very serious when it comes to that. I forked over tons of money for various items, but if there's something that's totally off the wall price wise, I just pass it up. There's a fine line between buying a high dollar collectible and paying the mortgage. That doesn't mean you're not a serious collector. It just means you have some common sense. Personally I might buy the jacket, but I will struggle with paying that kind of money for it knowing that some company out there has the license and will be producing this stuff in the future.

Not to mention the sick diorama of American Psycho that is still in works

I guess it depends on your definition of serious collector. I could buy many figs and custom clothes but choose not to.

What I love about 1/6 is putting together my own figs. The painting, sewing, bashing, etc.. If i just collected figs bought or custom made by someone else, it would bore me out of the hobby and while my paint skills arent at rainman levels and my sewing skills arent at kato level, i love my figs as their unique and once in while ive earned some good ebay cash, lol

The definition of being a "serious" collector can be stretched. It doesn't even have to be wealth, you are serious if you are driven by a passion to collect, you don't have to buy the best stuff, but you will buy for the sake of having a piece in your collection to make it better than what it was.

On the other hand, like Wake said, you gotta buy whatever it takes to make your stuff look as close to source material as possible. That's pretty serious.

I am still debating whether to get the jacket or not, obviously I'm not going to make a new Rick for every season of Walking Dead they have, so I will choose my favourite look to portray and perfect, I think this jacket is great, but shouldn't be the iconic look for Rick...
