Hey boys, i stumbled across this AMAZING link...

https://mod-o-rama.weebly.com/

Carolyn is wrapping up mine now too, i ordered it before chilipep but she missed my email and the ******* got his first haha... But she is very cool and a great communicator.

The chair and the draper credenza are exact emulations from Don's office furniture, as is the matching Sofa and sterling's credenza

my set up will be the same except his credenza will be behind him and be a straight up bar.

warning though the chair is a little under scale.... chilpep rejigged the legs so it sits high enough for him to sit in, the one on the show is bigger even though this is still 1/6 scale. well made stuff and the rest of her stuff is killer.

Holy crap...amazing! I don't have room for the credenza, but I'm definitely going to be ordering the chair. And most likely jacking chilipeps pose. :lol Perfection. :clap

EDIT: Is that chair the "Bubinga veneer" with "waffle like fabric" Chilipep?

I knew you'd be into this Marf... i warned carolyn to expect some requests from potentially 7 men soon LOL.

I also asked her if she would raise my chair, if not then I'll raise it on my own like chilipep.

Barbies are a tad smaller and they dont bend at the knees so it's not an issue with them, i think chilipep unscrewed the legs and glued them near the top. he can explain better...

Right you were! :lol

I think I'll also request that she raise it, do you know what measurement to give her by chance?

Thanks for the heads up on this stuff, it's amazing!

thanks boys! yea the chair is just a tad undersized unfortunately, but raising the legs at least allows for don to sit in it. heres the mod breakdown, very easy..

- the legs are screwed into wooden blocks with 4 tiny screws, simply unscrew each

- then, i took the inside wood blocks, and cut them out, placing them on top of the outer wood blocks, this raises the surface about a quarter inch. since its too short to be able to glue the legs on, i had to cut it in half and glue each piece on the end to lengthen the surface. hope that makes sense!

- then, using hot glue, I glued the legs back on top of these now double stacked wood blocks on the bottom, which raises the entire chair around 3/4 of an inch, which makes all the difference when it comes to Don being able to sit in it comfortably looking. if y'all are getting measurments together for barb, id say anywhere betwwen 3/4 to a full inch should do it

if those instructions dont do it, ill throw some photos up!

as for the credenza, I hate that I've set it up as a half bar/ half desk, but until I get some of the little alcohol bottles I have coming from Barb, it'll have to do!

Just placed my order for the chair. :rock Thanks for the measurements for the height increase! Carolyn seems to be aware of the height issue, as she offered to make it higher in her follow-up email. Thanks for the inspiration chilipep, really dig your Don set up. :)

Yes Carolyn is modding mine too... I'm glad she sent you yours first now too LMAO.

She told me she got your order Dane. We might have opened up a can of worms with now! Honestly though I found her by clicking on a link to her page from Barb's page... which you found!

Hi all, new to the group. I've made the corrections to the chair. Extremely nice suit. Did I read that correctly $500.00 for a 1/6 scale Mad Men suit only? I should have taken a sewing class or two...Barb J is a good friend of mine too. Her drinks are fabulous!!

Welcome to the board Carolyn! thanks again for the attention to detail with your work and for stopping by.

Yes that is on the EXTREME high end of things pay scale wise, but Kato's attention to detail is beyond anything else in this scale it's as if it was a full scale garmate but just fully shrunk down.

but it still does not change the fact that we are crazy.
