Agreed, and is it's darker instead of lighter, this new material might actually be better!

I didn't get that impression from Kato's statement that he can get it close to the original jacket color. One can stain and dye leather darker but making it lighter doesn't work so well. For me, "close enough" or "almost as good" doesn't work for Indy's jacket. I know Kato's tailoring will be high quality no matter the material, but I had hoped to be able to weather it myself with screen accurate distressing, like painting Bryan Cranston's exact age spot pattern instead of random "similar" age spots. Maybe Raider's material will be found some day, but it's been 4 years since this first jacket version was offered. Oh well. We'll wait for the comparison pics, just conjecture till then.

It is almost very hard (even not possible ) to make a dark color leather become lighter in shade. But it is very easy to appy any darker color on the light color lighter.

Acutally the new leather, after adding the color in my way, is actually very close to the movie one ( which is something between dark brown and dark olive)

It is almost very hard (even not possible ) to make a dark color leather become lighter in shade. But it is very easy to appy any darker color on the light color lighter.

Kato, I love your work and you are my favorite tailor, but I have not seen a 1/6 jacket that looks like this. The leather is so thin. Hopefully, one day. If anyone can do it, I believe in you.
