It's also my one most wanted figure. And KP are probably the only company that could ever dare to make that dream come through. We live in hope...I would knock down an alpaca to get at a Jeremy Brett Holmes figure of this calibre. Just sayin'.

Aside from maybe Conan, i've no real interest in those characters. I'm looking forward to seeing how they turn out though.
I was hoping for a Brett Sherlock Holmes, but sadly i don't see that ever happening.

Thanks! Thanks, and yes, a dry-brushing of dark brown/black first to knock back the original grey highlights. Then a dry-brushing of light greyish brown.
Brett Holmes was one of my all-time dream projects, back when I was imagining all the character-figures I'd hope to one day see in 1:6 scale. He really did have some of the sharpest Victorian outfits that would look great in figure form, but which particular outfit and look would we want to see?Aside from maybe Conan, i've no real interest in those characters. I grew up on the old Basil Rathbone movies. He too looked great as Holmes, but like Cushing was very one dimensional in the role. For years, Peter Cushign was my "go to" Sherlock Holmes. Then, on night, on a small black and white tv with rabbit ear attenae, I discovered a little program called Mystery on PBS. Hosted by one favorite actor I grew up with. Vincent Price. introducing me to the man who would take the title from Mr. Cushing. Cushing looked like Holmes, he acted like Holmes. Jeremy Brett WAS Sherlock Holmes.
And that's the sad reality of it. There are just not enough collectors who would buy one.Brett Holmes was one of my all-time dream projects, back when I was imagining all the character-figures I'd hope to one day see in 1:6 scale. I think there might be only all of a dozen or so collectors who would buy a Brett Holmes figure. KP couldn't even sell through their Inspector Clouseau stock. Brett Holmes is niche, but should never be considered out of the question.
Also getting Top Secret vibesFor now i shall stay content with a Cushing Holmes.
Elementary my dear Count.
