Got a feeling that plastic bag including what you see around the head will all be sculpted......to just look like a plastic bag.

It's' more sophisticated than that, but yes a one-piece mold.

This appears to be a rare instance where a 1/6 company has gone a step too far. It will work just fine but I don't want to pay a premium for this. Dead Laura should be a $40 head sculpt, a $30-40 phicen type body, and a 15 cent plastic bag.

I know I already mentioned this in the thread, but I'll bring up the Funko figures again. I really wish these weren't in 3 3/4 inch scale, cause I have mostly abandoned that scale, but the Cooper and Laura were really well done.

I remember some reviewer actually cracked his open to see if Laura was anatomically correct, and I don't think she was. I think the sculpted plastic looks just fine, but I can see why at 1/6 scale it's tempting to just use real plastic wrap. But that will make it harder to get it to look exactly like it did on the show.

No idea why or if they felt the need to sculpt this 1/6 Laura anatomically correctly. I imagine they didn't, and just used the cutesy emojis for fun. Guess we won't know...

(Mezco also censored their topless Nancy figure they showed off last week. Rather childish, but I guess that's just the way things are. For the record, I'm a massive Frank Miller fan and I would indeed buy a naked Sin City girl figure without even blushing, but their figure didn't look close enough to Miller's art for me to justify it.)

I bet everyone knows this already, but the longtime Twin Peaks fanzine was called "Wrapped in Plastic."

It was also the inspiration for this very early Marilyn Manson song.

Probably ****.

I like that they're going this route. No neck seam and more realistic body silhouette. No need to source bodies it's just a single mold probably easier to manufacture.

I once got a warning from mods for posting a 1/6 body pic with a sculpted *****. So, I risk no more :)
The body has nipples, but no ******l detail (which I consider proper). I will not post uncensored mold pics here.

Yeah, I remember seeing a pic of Michaelangelo's David on this site, and somebody put a big black bar over his *****. I thought that was a bit extreme, but hey. I'm not a mod. I'm not an admin. As long as we're guests in somebody else's clubhouse, we should play by the rules.

As for the Laura corpse accessory, I agree that for an adult collector there's no problem having accurately sculpted breasts just cause it's gonna look that much more accurate in the plastic wrapping. But yeah, a sculpted crotch is total overkill. Just make it smooth like Ken and Barbie.

That was extreme.

A little black bar would've sufficed.

Does she look 3D printed to anyone else?
Laura is a prop, not a “figure”. Being 3d printed is fine, there is zero reason for her to have an articulated body.

Yeah it's 3D printed, but the final product won't be. It'll be cast and mass produced.

It's common practice in the industry to 3D print prototypes. Funniest example to me is Games Workshop 3D printing protos of their miniatures when they are (very understandably from a business perspective) strongly opposed to 3D printing otherwise.

But seeing that Laura is being developed as a static piece should give some hope that it'll be priced more as a large accessory than a full second figure.
