I've seen two version of boba fett for the 12" line

the one by hasbro which can talk and the other one by kenner.
which one's better?
I can't tell from looking at just pictures on eBay auctions
thanks

Between the 2 you mentionned, the electric one is much better.

I loved Boba's original voice but I also love the tie-in to the prequels with his new voice.

I think George could have kept the original voice AND still referenced the prequels by simply having James Earl Jones record one extra line of dialogue.

Vader: "Use any means you wish but I want them alive, NO disintegrations."

Fett: "As you wish." (in original voice)

Vader: "Nice voice change. Sounds menacing."

Piett: "My lord, we have them!"

I think the whole voice thing is ridiculous. There is no reason why they had to change the original voice. If he is a clone of Jango, it makes no difference. That would mean that all identical twins have the same sounding voice, which they don't.

You realize though Clones mean they are identical to the preson in every way. So everything would have to match hence why Lucas changed that stuff. They aren't identical twins to each other. Boba is a clone.

True, so just call it a voice changer in his helmet and keep the cool voice.

For nostalgia's sake the "real" voice of Boba is allright... But for continuity's sake, I'm afraid I must go with jlcmsu on this one... and for me continuity trumps all other concerns. ;)

In Star Trek:Nemesis, Preator Shinzon was cloned from Captain Picard and they weren't identical. :stick

Eh...Yoda, Jabba, and Captain Antilles all sound different from their PT selves, and they aren't even clones of themselves, they ARE themselves. I don't think it was truly necessary to change Boba's voice. On the flip side I don't really mind it I just wish Temeura Morrison had delivered the lines in the same cadence as Jason Wingreen (for those who didn't know Jeremy Bulloch never actually did the voice.) I liked the snarl in Wingreen's performance that's now missing from the character.

It doesn't really matter anyway since I'm sure when the kid who played young Boba in AOTC grows up George will use his voice to dub over all lines from Jango, the clones, and adult Boba on a future rerelease of the saga. ;)

actually it was the kenner version that talked...and since hasbro owned kenner, they were both hasbro. :)

with a little work, the figure on the right can look very nice.

1. Yoda: does sound the same to me.
2. Jabba... well I won't disagree with you there.
3. Captain Antilles: His only line in the OT is while he is dangling 3 feet above ground with Vaders fist clenched around his neck.

I like the change in Fett's voice because it is just one more thing to bridge the PT and the OT IMO.

Now don't be cruel behbeh. ;)

Besides its pretty much Star Wars tradition to be fast and loose with voice and even actor continuity (Wedge and Major Derlin, I'm looking at *you*).

Cause anything that has to do with Nemesis is lame.

Oh and for the record, I like Temuera Morrison voice better. His didn't come off as someone trying to sound cool like the "real" Fett.

I still like the old voice though. I just prefer Boba Fett's voice from the originals. He had a bounty hunter quality to it I think.

What I'd really like to know is why all the Stormtroopers have such bad aim if they're all clones of Jango? :D

Also, how did Luke get away with impersonating a Stormtrooper in Ep 4? As soon as any Imperial personel saw how short he was, they would of known that he wasn't a real Stormtrooper.

I don't think the voice change on Boba is that big of a deal. I'm more upset with putting Christensen in at the end of ROTJ. To me this change makes no sense. If Lucas felt the need to replace Shaw why didn't he replace Alec Guinness with McGregor?

My feelings exactly.

As for the best Boba.... I'd have to say the OTC newer Boba... but that's the one I actually owned.... so it's a little biased. :D
