Funny you should pick Misfits. At any rate, I was wondering exactly how hard to get he is. I believe I just scored pretty big. Gonna matte this puppy with a nice Predator picture.

Yeah, he was also the Alien in "Without Warning", the movie Predator was inspired by. The signature was secured in 1986, just prior to predator and I suppose when Misfits of Science was on the tube. I never see anyone tout one of these out when they show either their Predator or autograph collections. So, I'd say its kind of obscure. A nice addition to my goodies.

My favorite autographs are O.J. and Robert Blake...the wife killers!

Van Damme was in the suit first, but complained it was too hot and uncomfortable and the Pred was recast.

I used to work with Kevin's aunt in Pittsburgh. She was a really nice lady and brought in all these photos he took on set of Pred and Harry and the Hendersons. Really cool stuff. He died way too young.

The Van Damme suit was a completely different design from the final version; looked rather like a mantis on steriods. Because of it's construction, it was nearly unfilmable. Stan Winston's shop was called in to save the project, with spectacular results, of course..PS

actually if you watch the making of the predator. the preadator looked like a big bug or something.. it's before stan winston got involved. yes jean claude van dam played the character first and when the studio or people realized it was going to suck they replaced him and the dumb idea with something knew.
