I recommend it! It teaches some good lessons about masking less-than-sharp seams, haha.

Thanks Drum18! I kind of forget how far it's come until I see that plain white helmet.

I'm considering buying another to do a Shadowtrooper. We'll see. I'm busy on another project right now.

I have two big updates to share.

Update 1 is a bust I've been modifying for a few weeks. It's definitely a grail piece for me. Took forever, but I eventually found one at the right price.

Below is my HCG Predator bio bust. The jungle themed base is totally custom. The bio and body have been partially repainted, and electronics have been added to the shoulder cannon. The bio mask's tri-lasers have been wired for AC power, and the surface has been re-weathered for a more detailed look.

I'm really happy with it. Check him out:

Thanks! Adding LEDs to the cannon isn't that hard. Just takes some balls to cut into an expensive piece of resin.

Alright, now it's time for update #2.

I finally got around to refinishing my walk-in closet. The iMac that runs my plex home theater system lives in here, plus my movie hard drives, AV receiver, UPS, etc. The space was a mess of old Star Wars stuff before. Way under-utilized.

I wanted somewhere to store smaller pieces, with room for a little reading area. I ended up going with Ikea Billy shelves, Inreda LEDs (recently discontinued), and Morliden glass doors. I left my old Star Wars figs up on one wall, though this only represents a fraction of them. The rest of the Kenner/Hasbro Star Wars stuff is back in storage.

Really excited to have a new area to display smaller props. Have a look.
