I am hoping for Sideshow to update the photo gallery in the up-coming newsletter. Am keen to see how the final product is like.:D

I know, what's his deal?!?

Busy, busy, busy...

But I second the thought that Tim Miller is underappreciated. Look at what he's done--Aragorn PF (best Viggo likeness ever, in my opinion), the Rogue maquette, Frodo, Sam and Gandalf 12" figures, Lara Croft PF, Cobra Commander and Snake Eyes, the Reservoir Dogs 12" figures, and pretty much any of the Star Wars aliens like Bib Fortuna, Kit Fisto, Plo Koon, Aayla Secura, as well as Episode IV Han Solo. The list goes on and on and I can't believe he doesn't get more attention considering the level of artistry he has brought to his work for Sideshow. I give him a five Chewie salute:

Just got my Ki Adi too - I hadn't realized how sparse he is, a couple of extra hands might have been nice. And the pics on the SSC site look like he wears his purse strap under his outer tunic? But it doesn't look like the belt opens to display it that way.

But I do like Ki - the head doesn't appear too large at all and he's a unique looking Jedi.

And I'd agree that Tim Miller is under appreciated - kind of a stealth sculptor. Really nice guy too if you talked to him at any of the cons.

Come on Tim - join in - I know you're out there!

Tim did ANH Han Solo? I thought that was Trav? Huh....

I guess my email was clogged or something because I just got three quantums all together dated a couple of days ago. Looks like my Ki will be here tomorrow afternoon.

Thanks guys, but just to set the record straight on a few of the pieces, Trevor did the likeness of the AMAZING Han Solo (I only did his gloves); Tony Cipriano did the body and boots for the Lara Croft PF (the head is mine); I did a slight retouch of Andy's Aragorn. Anyway, thanks again.

A big thanks! Tim, for giving us such wonderful sculpts. All the aliens in the SW 1/6 line are my favorites.:)

For some strange reason my credit card was declined despite having over $1,000 of available credit. So I used the debit and he will arrive Wednesday the 17th.
Maybe I'll let my wife wrap him up for Christmas.

Supposedly mine will be be delivered today... although right now my Quantum View shows him in Oklahoma City, which is usually where things stop the day before delivery. We'll see what happens.

The unpainted sculpt really shows the detail Tim put into it.

Gandalf is hands down one of my favorite sculpts... he's a brilliant sculptor :rock

Agreed. Not only is he a great guy, he's one of the top guys in the business.

I agree with all of this.

Trev's a very talented sculptor and all of his work for Sideshow deserves the accolades it gets, but Tim's quality of work is not to be overlooked.

Like Trev and even Andy's B.'s more recent works, Tim has the ability to weave subtle emotion into his human portraits. Gandalf not only looks like McKellan, but that sense of concern and fear over the ring translates through in the method of his sculpting.

T-1000 mini bust is another sterling example, his definition of the facial structure and detailing are amazing, and the burning intensity that Robert Patrick would get on his face at times shines through.

And Tim's work looks great even on a very small level. I have a 7" McFarlane baseball figure Tim did that's of my favorite player and it captures him perfectly.

I haven't seen a portrait/piece from Tim that isn't a great work of sculpture, knowing he's worked on something instills a lot of confidence for me in the final piece.

I hope that when the holidays settle down and finances get back on track, I can pick up this figure and enjoy Tim's and Sideshow's work on it.
