Reading this review, I think Kick-*** 2 might be the pretty bad. If that's the case.

I just got back from my KA2 showing. As a big fan of the first movie, I enjoyed it but it was not a particularly good movie. While there were some good moments and recycled KA1 music that I enjoyed, there were also a lot of things that didn't work (high school drama, character continuity). I feel that if you are a fan of the first film, it's worth a watch (may not necessarily be in theatres) but if you're not a fan of the franchise, you probably will not enjoy it.

Saw this earlier today. I LOVE the first one, its not T2 or anything grand scale but it had alot of heart, relatable characters, and kick@$$ action!
The Sequel is Bigger and in some aspects better, Jim Carrey was awesome, Hit Girl and McLovin have good character arcs. But its not as cohesive as the first one. I have a few issues with it, Continuity, Stakes, Acting.
In Terms of Box Office it still has a better chance than alot of movies this summer to still do well. The Budgets not huge, Not as much in theatres coming soon and its good enough to get some word of mouth.

Its got alot going for it; smaller budget than the first movie, tiny ad budget, and expanded merchandising. Also considering the DVD/BR sales they did on part one, whatever it makes at theatres might just end up being gravy. Would not be surprised if Millar makes a third, if someone doesn't just straight to video it.

Just saw this, freaking loved it, it definitely lived up to the KA1 and it went bigger.
I loved every character and every scene, Mother Russia was scary as ****, and I completely lost my **** when the adrenaline hit hitgirl it was hilarious.
'cept for digital blood, I hate digital blood.
One of the best movies I've seen this year.
Will pick up both comics ASAP, and I hope KA3 is on the way.

I see KA2 tonight & enjoyed it. Good fun film

KA2 was definitely missing Vaughn's magic even though he did produce it. Still a good film. KA1 was just awesome though

Just saw the movie last night. It was entertaining... but not worth owning. A lot of events were uh... interesting, like that device Hit Girl used, not sure I cared for that, but I also didn't care for the 'whole Mindy trying to fit in' stuff, I mean, I understand she's a teenager and she'll go through that crap but I suppose I didn't care for the execution. I felt they were boring scenes like Dave's girlfriend scenes in the first movie.
I wasn't impressed by the fighting scenes, not really, and I was really disappointed with Hit Girl's fighting scenes.. wow. After watching the first movie, it was just underwhelming.
