I had to try this, so here's what I think

The Jedi part isn't too bad, there's more content there than I though there would be, sadly there's no way to catch movement of turning your wrist. The duels are crap though, it's like a terrible mini-game, you start off just blocking (extremely) slow attacks, then you go to a lightsaber clash thing where you line up a thing on the lightsaber and then you can do some type of attack, then if you're successful then you are able to actually do damage until a timer runs out, then you do it all over again and keep repeating until it's over. It's truly crappy.
Besides that, there's some speeder stuff, it's pretty easy to steer, but in some cases it's dark which makes it difficult to see (there's no brightness setting in options).
Also at times you use a gun turret on the spaceship, which aims pretty well, it just fires whenever you get it aimed on an enemy ship.

The other thing is podracing, which you need to make sure you're using the controls correctly and it's pretty fun. That one's worth playing.

Dancing is just dancing, I hate dancing games so it's crap either way to me.

I haven't tried the rancor game.

Anyways, overall I'd give it a 6/10
Shouldn't be $50, more like $40

You guys saw this right???
I could not stop laughing the whole time.

I just bought a new 360 and decided to give Kinect a try and got Star Wars on a trade in along with Kinect Adventures that came with the console package.

I tried each mini game on Star Wars a couple of times and it was enough as the best thing about it was the demo disc which had the golf and tennis sections of Kinect Sports 2.

I'll be taking Star Wars straight back to the store tomorrow and getting an exchange.

I've been watching the boy play this with lightsaber in hand for about an hour now and it looks like a lot of fun. Still waiting for my turn... :impatient:

I spent my night doing a hard drive transfer so I didn't have time to hook up the Kinect and play. Going to give it a go today after work. I bought the bundle mainly for the console so the free games I got are a bonus. If the Jedi and Podracing parts are decent I'll be happy.

I picked up the R2 360 but I have yet to open the game. its really sad that M$ was forcing all of the developers to make the first gen (remember this has been delayed for a while) Kinect titles Kinect controls only.
Look at all the things that devs are doing now that the Kinect no longer has to be the primary control method. Imagine if they could have screpped half of the motion crap. We could have had a decent game...wait never mind its Lucas Arts we are talking about. that plays hasnt been the same since the late 90's.

The game would be irrelevant without the motion controls.

But--I think with an updated Kinect hardware, it could be much better, like with better tracking it would be able to track your wrist rotation which would make a big difference with the lightsaber.

With this one I'm disappointed because it seems they left out a bunch of stuff that was shown in the E3 2011 trailer.

With the new relaxed constraints on the kinect being the only firm of control it would have been a totally different game and not this POS that shipped. Even the Devs (one of who is a good friend and also worked on force unleashed).

Look at the games that are conning out now. Imagine Steel Battalion in an AT-AT. Or a flight sim like Xwing vs Tie fighter where I can us voice and gestures to look and change weapons or saying "R2 that thing is loose lock it down.
