gotta see some pics of the face. From the 1st pics he has racoon eyes. Im hoping to pick this up so hopefully all is well.

The regular head is useless. It's the EX or nothing with this piece--the helmet is ten times cooler, and the growling expression is more menacing than the closed mouth on the regular.

And the raccoon eyes are going to be a huge sticking point with people. Having them hidden under the helmet will help a lot.

The darkness around his eyes actually looks worse in person--the flash is washing some of it out.

Overall, this is an awesome statue. Just a fantastic addition to anybody's PF collection. I give it very high marks with a few quibbles that I'll get to in a minute that are related to my particular piece.

WOWZA WOWZA WOWZA WOWZA!

Thank you for posting!

The helmet is THE ONLY WAY to display as you have mentioned but then again most probably knew this going into this statue.

At first I didn't like all the arrows sticking out of the shield but it's stuck on me now.

What gripes do you have, paint problems?

I say he needs some blood splatters on his weapon, base and maybe his hands, arm or chest.

FYI, the background texture of your couch fits perfectly for this piece.

Now my issues:

1. The belt with scabbard is too loose and slips down past his waist farther than I would like.

2. There was a large blotch of bright red paint on the handle of the spear. My wife said I can just consider it blood. So I can live with both of these, no problem. However...

3. This is a big one--the cape is stitched onto the leather straps that go around the armpit, and because of where they attached it, it is an extremely tight fit getting it attached at the clasp. It is so tight, in fact, that there is not enough slack to allow it to rest comfortably and cover up the seam where the head attaches. The other side is also stretched tightly where it is sewn on and buckles up into the air insteading of resting naturally. Just not enough slack to look right. However, there is too much slack on the reverse side as a result, and it is too poofy and baggy. The cape should have been attached to the leather straps at the right place to avoid these issues. I am going to wait and see if others have the same issues or if mine just got a bad sewing job, and if so it will get exchanged.

Here is how it is supposed to look (please note also that the way the cape comes off the shoulders also impacts the way that it hangs off the back and sides):

4. One of the rocket scientists in the Chinese painting room stuck their thumb on the base when the paint was wet and left me a nice big copy of their fingerprint. I assume that the base wasn't dry when they went to glue the arrow pieces on.

These last two issues are enough to warrant my sending it back for a new piece. I REALLY hope that they sewed the capes properly on the rest of the pieces, because this is an awesome PF and it's too cool a piece to have to suffer from a tight collar that exposes the neck seam.

Yeah, just got mine in today! Must say that the exclusive helmeted version is a MUST! I honestly wouldn't have gotten this without the helmet... Overall, the quality is good and I'm happy with it. I always love the wethered PF's because it doesn't make u paranoid about seeing any flaws :D

Pretty good job Sideshow :rock

Until you mentioned those problems, I hadn't noticed BUT now that you did, forget about it, now all I see is that damn neck seam, doh!

Also bummer with the cape, I hope they didn't make all of them the same way but my fear is that all will indeed have those issues.

Time will tell.

Other than that, for a naked fella, he looks good....wait......ewwwwwwww.

Man,

how can I turn him into a Marvel character so that I can add him to my collection.

Hmm...

It's Iron Spideyeonidas from the dark ages who has time traveled to be a photographer and teach old Greek at Columbia University, and occasionally decapitate villians and scream "Come And Get Them!" while doing it.

yay, he's a Marvel character now, I'm buying this Muther^^^^er!!
