Now my issues:
1. The belt with scabbard is too loose and slips down past his waist farther than I would like.
2. There was a large blotch of bright red paint on the handle of the spear. My wife said I can just consider it blood. So I can live with both of these, no problem. However...
3. This is a big one--the cape is stitched onto the leather straps that go around the armpit, and because of where they attached it, it is an
extremely tight fit getting it attached at the clasp. It is so tight, in fact, that there is not enough slack to allow it to rest comfortably and cover up the seam where the head attaches. The other side is also stretched tightly where it is sewn on and buckles up into the air insteading of resting naturally. Just not enough slack to look right. However, there is too much slack on the reverse side as a result, and it is too poofy and baggy. The cape should have been attached to the leather straps at the right place to avoid these issues. I am going to wait and see if others have the same issues or if mine just got a bad sewing job, and if so it will get exchanged.
Here is how it is supposed to look (please note also that the way the cape comes off the shoulders also impacts the way that it hangs off the back and sides):
4. One of the rocket scientists in the Chinese painting room stuck their thumb on the base when the paint was wet and left me a nice big copy of their fingerprint. I assume that the base wasn't dry when they went to glue the arrow pieces on.
These last two issues are enough to warrant my sending it back for a new piece. I REALLY hope that they sewed the capes properly on the rest of the pieces, because this is an awesome PF and it's too cool a piece to have to suffer from a tight collar that exposes the neck seam.
