You put so much life into that sculpt. Hartnell's attitude is just oozing out of it. You are the master, I humbly kneel at your feet. :bow

TOM
Thanks, I just try to keep learning. Always trying new stuff, often at the price of screw ups. Believe in happy accidents. This was a second go at the sculpt. I'm no master, just a guy trying to out do my own last piece. Russ really deserves the credit here, the sculpt is just so perfect. I really can't wait to get to his other Who pieces. They make me want to try harder. Also can't wait to do up Sean's Jammie

Hey big thanks Xeno, means a lot. I just keep slugging away. Hope to do your Dexters justice as well. Damn I love painting. Ok, maybe not the smell of clear coat.

Thanks Siq
Planning other stuff, time is a huge issue. I get 1 day off a week, so, regular work takes priority. More ideas than time.

Book of Eli is in the works as well.

Hardest part of painting is capturing the character. It's little stuff that enhances a sculpt. Like I always say "Research & Destroy"

Well, after much waiting, finally. The Book of Eli is done. Really pleased with how all the stuff turned out. Went so far as to match the stains on his shirt & pants to movie props.

Oops, forgot to take shots of the backpack & sheath. It's fed through the jacket as per the prop. I know I know, the jacket doesn't have fur but hey, I like that it adds a little texture to the build.

Bible is hand made, leather bound.

I couldn't be more pleased with this one. A base is planned as well. Bit of a surprise.

I like the look of the jacket! You're right the fur adds to the overall appearance of the figure and like you said it adds texture.AWESOME JOB!Did you make the waepons yourself? Also,is their a bow for this figure?☺

Thanks folks. And yes, he has his bow. Forgot to take pix of the bow, backpack & soon to be messy cat bag. Oh, also forgot. I'm making his damn battery. Can anybody explain why the hell I go to the bother of all these little details?

Ceeem, the weapons were just modded. Except for the Kukri, it is a full on custom. Made a print out of the prop in proper scale, then traced it on clear plastic. Then sharpened it up & wrapped the handle. Pretty easy really

The worst was the necklace & book. The flint was a b@*!# to drill the hole in. Found a skeleton key in my bin (luck, YES) then made the little striker from plastic. I'll NEVER make another Bible. Painting the cross was nasty as was making the leather binding. Good think I love the sculpt so much.

Actually, I hadn't seen the film until after I got the sculpt.

Didn't know you had such great talent, you paint the eyes beautifully!

Thanks again. The eyes are a real B@*! for me, after the brain surgery I get tremors in the hands still. So I have to do them when they are steady. That's why I'll only design tattoos as well, not do them. Don't want people looking like connect the dots

Here's another shot of the Bible, bow as well as the backpack & sheath that is fed through the jacket as per the film.

Also putting the finishing touches on his cat in a bag.

Once again folks, thanks for all the kind words. Means a lot to me. Really. This community feels like a huge collection of amazingly cool & kind people.

ok, except for a certain sculptor that scammed a large number of us.

New skin tone technique. Really pleased with the results. Just wonder what it would look like with real hair. So, here's my latest. It was really just an experimental piece.

As per usual, any comments are welcome.

Cheers
Joey

BTW folks, I always felt that once I reached a point where I knew I couldn't do better in painting I'd stop. So, with the exception of doing some work I've already committed to for Brendan, J-Doll & Vikki, I think I'm done. I've begun sculpting as well. Latest WIP is the Master from Deadly Assassin.

Brilliant dude! :bow

I love that sculpt. I've wanted to get my hands on it, but have no idea where it comes from.
