I loved King Kong, I just get tired of buying multiple copies of the same movie. I already have the 2 disc special edition and the production diaries box set. Maybe this new one will come with a Weta statue like the LOTR sets.

I'll check it out, but I thought the theatrical cut was damned near perfectly paced. Can't think of anything missing.

from what Ive read there should be A LOT of cool scenes put back in now. Over 300 finished special effects shots were originally cut if I remember right.
Including the scene where theyre going thru the swamp in the boat and get attacked by swamp thingys. Watching the diaries you see them filming some of that scene but its cut from the movie.
