Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

Hey Chris have you ever gotten a chance to re-paint the Hot Toys Rocky 1st release? I was wondering how good the sculpt would look with a re-paint,even the new Rocky sculpt I wonder how good they would look with your awsome paint skills.

Ive been thinking about seeing if Chris H. would be interested in making a Rocky Balboa head from Rocky 1 ( preferably with his hat). Would you guys be interested in that or is it not worth bothering Chris H. with?

Actually Chris C. and I discussed doing a Rambo from the latest film at one point early in our collaboration. I did begin to rough Stallone out, so I've got a good basis to start from. Rocky I would be a great head! Then that could serve as a basis for all Stallones that followed Rocky I.....

So, if Chris wants to paint him I'd be glad to sculpt him if enough folks want to sign up for him.

hell yeah!!!!! Rocky and a Rambo from the latest one.....

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

What awesomeness has been taking place here!!! Chris, yes we do need to definately talk my friend. You have to stop teasing all of us on you doing a Stallone sculpts man :monkey5, I mean a Top Grade sculptor doing one of my Top fav action heroes, that just equals the greatness of the Jokers man :chew.
Jose- The early stallone sculpts were pretty good in there time with repaints but nothing in comparison to what I think Chris can do :)
Kalashnikov- Pm received, will reply with details later today :)

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

Hey Kuato, great work as always! The licking Joker is your most realistic paint job to date. Chris Howes, would you ever consider sculpting an ESB Luke? I'm sure there would be lots of demand on these boards for one!

Only if Chris C. will paint him.... :D

Actually, I've sculpted a few "official" versions of Mr. Skywalker. I used to do work for Kenner/Hasbro Toy Group. I did an X-Wing Luke, for example. In fact, Star Wars is kind of in my professional career blood. My first employer in this business was the head of sculpting at Kenner during the first run of Star Wars toys in 1977. It was his fault they weren't ready in time and they had to sell empty boxes with IOU certificates in them! Needless to say he wasn't head of the department for long after that... :horror

I'll email tomorrow... got a couple things to talk about.

BTW, most excellent work, my friend! You just keep getting better. I love what I'm seeing with each subsequent Joker... :banana:chew:banana
