Was I the only one who thought when Rey struck Kylo down she destroyed his saber too? We know his mask is gone. But it looked like she hit the hilt and he might have a different saber in VIII as well.

Well she did destroy the lightsaber. So he's definitely going to have a different one. I'd imagine it's the same design but more stable and polished. To mirror himself as a darkside user in the film.

Well according to the visual dictionary his saber blade is unstable and has the crossguard because the crystal inside is cracked. So if he gets a more stable blade next movie it probably won't have the crossguard. But who knows, just speculation

The cross guard is just excess venting In older designs. It's not a requirement of having a cracked crystal. We have already seen a green cross guard lightsaber lit up that had an uncracked crystal.

Exactly. But I beleive the splitting of the beam in the case of the cracked crystal did increase the stability of the blade in Kylos case. That was early talk before the movie came out from JJ and team. Could have changed. Maybe the cross guard can help an unstable kyber stream, but doesn't necessarily have an effect on an unphased/cracked kyber?

I've almost got Kylo paid off maybe he'll arrive early lol

Don't count on it. I had my Sandy paid off early and only owe $32 on Ren.

They said when the Sandy comes it will auto charge and ship but it didn't. Everyone was getting them or tracking them so finally I called and nope. They never charged me so I though ok second wave but nope so in the end you watch and call as soon as you see it.

Maybe keeping it on payments won't delay. I called and paid it early but still they said it would ship.

Only bonus was they shipped my Sandy FREE for making me wait.

I too am pumped the frak up. IDGAF what others say about the cost I'm not selling it and it's worth it to me. Not his biggest fan but the day it was announced I counted til PO. A few more months and boom Rens in da house. I have a great idea for the display shelf like my Vader so hope people like it if I can pull it off. Vaders shelf if badass. I know that's not very humble but it's badass. Lots of work but it's great looking so I want Kylos to be good.

Anyway just keep an eye out for slow delivery.

yeah but I think a few months into production they announced it.. but this one has been clearly denied that it wont light up.

I just hope he will ship next month !! So ready for this piece !

I'm expecting an early Spring release but I am so stoked for this still. Especially when we will definitely have an Ep 8 trailer by Celebration in April.

It's 2016, they can manufacture whatever kind of tube they want, they can even make one in the exact shape of the blade but 80% smaller so that it fits perfectly inside. The shape doesn't matter, everything lights up nowadays.

Whether this will light up or not is all about whether or not they are willing to put in the effort and money.
