Premium Format Kylo Ren

Got my Kylo. Awesome. Have it in a besta with a Kylo helmet. On top of the besta I have a FO trooper helmet and two FO troopers. Now like all my other bestas I installed a LED disc light (5k) on the ceiling of the Besta. But for some reason it just doesn't look good. It doesn't light up Kylo at all. Maybe because he is all black. What are some suggestions for good lighting and location for this guy. It's almost like he needs lights shining up on him and not down. Thoughts, ideas?

spot lights sitting directly overhead are always tricky. I have him in a Pax with the light coming from the front top of the cabinet, which lights him nicely. You can try using two of the spot lights and place one in front and one behind vs just the single one directly overhead. See if that looks better

Yeah. That's what I was thinking. I will give it a try. I have a total of three I can install but that may be blinding.

Love this guy !! He looks fantastic.. but takes so much space in a besta.. I tried to move the hand like you did to angel it.. but its not really holding well for me to leave it just like this.. to dangerous..

These are actually LED Strips mounted on the shelfs .. nothing special.. regular cool white LEDs

Damn is the footprint of this statue bigger than I thought it was.

As I use doors on all my Bestas there's only one position you can put him in, like in myc's pics above.

Just got him in, and haven't really done anything to the mixed media, pics just for reference.

yeah it kind of sucks to have that huge gap on the side.. but Rey might fit in or I will just use the ex on him..

Really? Along edges inside? How do u block from seeing them when looking st cabinet? I was thinking Led strip along top inner edge but don't want to see all the LED when looking up and into cabinet (it's slightly above eye level). Thanks!!

Yup that's what I use too. Just spray painted them black for my display.

Hi everyone, I was just wondering what depth Besta units you are all using? I bought 1 and realised it was only 40cm deep, so I now fit the STUVA which are the same frame as the Besta but 50cm deep. I then buy the Besta glass doors. You prob all know this already but I thought I just post and say as you will gain an extra 10cm depth so gives you more room for 2 premium formats. Thanks god I say cause with the Ralph Mcquarrie, mythos and premium formats ranges I have nearly 50 statues.

I can show him without the lightsaber but unfortunately I only got the non-exclusive from my local store.

If you want the statue to face out, there are only two options. The one I posted previously and the following.







If using a Besta with doors it might be advisable having Kylo Ren showing a side profile rather than the above option.

Sorry I may have misunderstood. I use those guides to hide the wire, the LED strip I use clips right on the top front of the cabinet.

Gotcha. I am thinking of cutting a shelf to make a 2" lip along the top front and putting three spotlights behind the lip to hide them. That should like it up great....or if my wife agrees I can just get a besta door and use the frame to hide the lights. How tall is the trim around the besta door frame?
