Re: C-Phan work on......

uscmhicks, Mooncat, dwing : Thanks guys !
Kuato : I was glad to help you mate.

So, after the all female mandos attempt, I droped this idea to another old suggestion made by a couple of friend who told me to do a mando half human half cyborg and I was thinking about that idea too. few days later I was sitting at home watching Unforgiven and the idea came out, why not a Clint Eastwood western style too ?.... so here the result fellas !

Right now, I'm done with my mandos squad, maybe not if I can find more helmet, but it was pretty cool to built something without restriction. 'Hope you enjoy it and give you the envy to do some Star Wars mandos bash youself.
And by the way....Happy new years folks !!!

Re: C-Phan work on......

Hi, everyone ! thanks about your comments about my Mandos, I thought this one will be the last one but I got 2 extra helmet, so I'll be able to start a female Mando and maybe a massive one too, maybe with a 13" DC Direct body.
Back to real Star Wars character now, I always wanted to add some real hair to Anakin and I was inspired by many Joker's redux so I finally decide to remove his plastic hair and switch it with a real wig, I also change the Buck body to a HotToys truetype :

I'm not 100% happy but I don't think I can do better.

And what would be Anakin without his mentor : Obiwan Kenobi.
I finally put my hand on a cheap SST tunic to change his old Hasbro clothes, I also change his HotToys mountain HS to this one and change the body to a truetype......mmhh.. now I start to realize that he's brand new action-figure here...anyway, I'm finally happy with master Kenobi :

and finally I got the SST Ben Kenobi boots for my Saesee Tiin, I consider him finish now

Next time I'll take some photos of my Reeve Superman and weathered Gandalf and Frodo !

Re: C-Phan work on......

melonjames : as I said, I use the same technique that I used on Scully, Legolas or Achilles, scalp a Barbie doll (or any rooted hair doll), replace it on your headsculpt, hide the joint with Apoxie and repaint it.

Re: C-Phan work on......

Wow. How did I miss this thread? Awesome and something to aspire to!!

Re: C-Phan work on......

Thank you Jessica, I also love what your doing too with your Planete of the Apes universe.
Here what I'm working on right now, a SS Red Skull ! I was thrilled when I saw the Premium Format, to be honest I always told to myself that I will never have any military stuff but since my WWII Captain America, I realize that kind of stuff is totally awesome.
I pick this 1/6 skull and I was kind of disapointed wen I received it :

Really undersize but full of potential, and I was inspire by the eyes moving system Callous used for his Darth Maul headsculpt, and this project is the perfect opportunity to try it :

So I resculpt the skull and work on the eye system :

Still have to work on the details so stay tune !

looks awesome so far, just sculpt a little on the eye sockets to look more angry. pretty cool start though.

Re: C-Phan work on......

Really cool stuff! I'm totally on the Captain America kick too!

When I saw the Red Skull project, it tripped me out. I've been working on almost the same exact project all day today. :google

I haven't taken any pics yet, but ours are very similar. I'm using a skull I picked up off of ebay, one of the suits from one of the Indiana Jones German and a bbi muscular neckpost that I'm modding.

I like your idea for the eyes, I've got something a little different planned that I'm scared may not work.:lol
