If its brand new and not perfect I would return it.. Itll keep bugging you..

Yep I have to agree with the king and you. It isn't something I even notice until I get close. But I know its there. So I find myself searching for it now versus comfortably watching TV. It is going back tomorrow for a replacement. It is already showing no more online which means it is safely set aside waiting for me. :rock

^^^^ yes!!!! :lecture :lecture :lecture :lecture

Plasmas have almost no issues now with burn in and image retention. I have a plasma and have gamed on it for 6-8 hours before with no problems. And plasmas don't have the problem with ghosting like LCDs do. When I saw COD4 played on my buddies LCD, there were weird images ghosting that I guess lots of LCDs have. Nop way I want that with the fast paced FPSs I play.

Panasonic 1080p Plasma FTW!!!!

I love my Pioneer 52" Plasma. and I have no problems with gaming/burn-in either. I think that was a problem only in the earliest models of a few years ago. I read something about "rotating pixel technology" to prevent burn-in on newer plasmas.

Pioneer Plasma's are beautiful! :rock

Good to hear BM i think it would have bugged me to much as well.

After intense :)study on the net over the last few months i will be buying a Panasonic Plasma this week.:D

Pioneer Plasma's are without doubt the best televisions you can buy but unfortunately they are out of most peoples price range.

glossy screens = poopy

Plasma = glossy screens

Haven't seen ghosting on an LCD TV in years. However, stuck pixels are a pain, and just sort of a fact of life with LCD tv's. :monkey2

Remember BM, pixel loss can happen at any time. Just because you don't have any now, doesn't mean one or two won't pop up in a couple weeks, or after your warranty expires. Sucks, but that's just the way things are with LCDs. :monkey2

Personally, I'd take the LCD right back where I bought it, and buy a plasma.

Motion blur is a ^^^^^. Even with 120hz, I can clearly see it.

Redman, you've made a good choice. Panny plasmas are the best money can buy, unless you can afford a Kuro.

I got an extended warranty on my TV and after 1 1/2 years I noticed 2 dead pixels. So I called and now I have someone coming to replace the entire panel :rock

Thanks Wal-Mart :lol

Thanks mate :D yeah got it for a great price too.

It was in the shop next to a Sony Bravia and the Panny looked slightly better even though the Bravia cost about 1K more.

Although at the moment Samsung have the best LCD out there.;)

Funny you mention the Samsung LCD. I found yet another mark on the TV I bought. So I took it back and it was between a Panasonic plasma and Samsung LCD. I went with the Samsung LCD and love it. Hopefully no marks will be found on this one. Third time is the charm!
