HI all,

Just wondering if anybody else is reading the Legacy of the Force book series. The first book BETRAYAL came out in May and the 2nd book BLOODLINES just came out this week and I'm enjoying it. The best part of this book is two words, "BOBA FETT." Nobody messes with the Fett man.

There's a preview of the Bloodlines book on Starwars.com. Looks to be pretty good.
Congerking, is the book any good say, without reading Betrayal? I was thinking about picking Bloodlines up but havent read Betrayal...Traviss is such an excellent writer when it comes to the Mando culture, heck, she's the Mother Mando!

After being put off SW novels almost for good by the godawful NJO I've only bought a couple of Clone Wars titles since, but I'm curious about the Legacy Of The Force series, mainly because Boba Fett and the Mandalorians are involved. How central are they to the story?

This book is a sequel to BETRAYAL. I believe there is going to be either 8 or 9 in the series. Each book written by a different author(which is weird). So you will have to pick up Betrayal before Bloodlines.

I'm about 100 pages in, it's pretty good so far. I recommend it.

i want to finish the New Jedi Order series of books and I'm on the 4th so I'll get to this series around 2012 i would guess(since I only read this series when in between the Republic Commando and other post prequel novels(but before the OT's).

actually its the same 3 authors... they are just releasing in order one after another. one author will release one, then one of the other two will release one, then the last of the three authors. then the first author will come out with his second book and so on. i think its a great idea because all 3 authors have collaborated on the way things are gonna happen.

ah, i gotcha. I found this online about the different book titles and authors.

Betrayal by Aaron Allston (Release on May 30, 2006)
Bloodlines by Karen Traviss (Release in September 2006)
Tempest by Troy Denning (Release in December 2006)
Exile by Aaron Allston (Release in 2007)
Sacrifice by Karen Traviss (Release in 2007)
Untitled Paperback by Troy Denning (Release in 2007)
Untitled Paperback by Aaron Allston (Release in 2007)
Untitled Paperback by Karen Traviss (Release in 2008)
Untitled Hardcover by Troy Denning (Release in 2008)

yea, 2nd book is only paperback, which is really annoying. Even though it is cheaper, I would like a sense of parallelism with all the books. OH well.

Just finished reading Sacrifice, the new book that comes out today. Got it early at CIV and WOW...any star wars fan should read this series.

Come now, don't tell me I'm the only one who has read the book. OR, maybe I am. At least George Lucas doesn't have your money.
