I have other TD albums and I'm a huge fan of Christopher Franke (loved his work on Babylon 5) but, and I guess I'm gonna be in the minority here, I always tought this soundtrack didn't fit the movie.
I saw Legend when it was first released in Europe and I loved Goldsmith's soundtrack. It has eerie parts, fairy runs, strong themes and a more "classic" orchestration.
For a Fantasy story, I think TD's version sounds way too modern and asian from time to time. For example, IMO the Darkness theme posted earlier would be a great intro for Lo Pan or the Three Storms in John Carpenter BTLC.
I'm not saying it's not a good OST. It indeed has great moments but that's not the right music for the right movie. I have the same exact feeling about Ladyhawke's soundtrack and it's clearly due to Alan Parson involvement in the production.
