What could possibly be the point in having humans Halo jump onto Godzilla?

The city looks well destroyed by that point, given that they aren't really armed, I'm thinking there's some weapon to use against Godzilla within the city but somehow it wasn't used and the only way to get to the weapon is to halo jump into the city.

Yeah. It sure doesn't look like they're trying to jump on Godzilla's back. :cuckoo: They'd be pretty far off the mark if they were. :lol

Re: Legendary Pictures' GODZILLA - May 16, 2014

Godzilla trailer before Hobbit was awesome! :rock

Many of the teens in the audience laughed at it though. :gah:

No hope I swear.

While I didn't get the Godzilla trailer before The Hobbit yesterday (non US so I never get the newest trailers. It was actually the first time I saw the Cap 2 trailer on the big screen yesterday, but I digress), there were a lot of annoying kids and teens in the theatre yesterday that for the love of God just couldn't seem to shut up. If you're not interested in a movie, then don't go and watch it. It's as simple as that. It's like they're afraid of their emotions so they just laugh and joke about everything because God forbid one of their friends sees them caring about the characters or having an emotional reaction to it...

There is no hope indeed.

Sorry, rant over.

That's why my wife and I always do the 21 and over auditorium for opening weekends. No idiot teens or crying babies. Sure they serve alcohol and you get someone who's occasionally tipsy, but totally worth the trade off to eliminate all little ones.

Re: Legendary Pictures' GODZILLA - May 16, 2014

So I don't get it. Godzilla was something to laugh at these girls?

But, The Hobbit they sat through and immersed themselves in a land of elves, furry dwarfs, dragons, and talking trees?

Probably just some Robert Patterson junkies trying to reclaim a fantasy since Twilight is over.
Thank God

21 and over auditorium? I wish we had some of those in my area of Ohio. I can't stand noisy juveniles..... :(

I agree, the halo jumpers look like a rescue operation rather than a weapons drop. They are probably sending them to make sure the science guys don't get killed and have an escort out of the city, but this is all speculation. At the end of the day it's a bad *** reveal for godzilla in the trailer at this point, I don't think you could have done it any better than that.

:exactly::lecture:exactly:

Why they would jump onto him with nothing but their jumpsuits is a cool mystery to have.

But damn if it wasn't impressive.

In the UK, we have over 18's screenings of movies (even if they aren't rated an 18 or rated R) so that people can watch movies without their viewing experience being destroyed by the endless chatter and giggling of teens trying to reinforce their position within their social group. Don't they have similar adult screenings in the US?

Yeah, we do. Any theaters over here that serve alcohol are for adults 21 and older.

Re: Legendary Pictures' GODZILLA - May 16, 2014

I see. It's a shame we have to have a special screening now just to enjoy a movie in an environment that should be the norm.

Re: Legendary Pictures' GODZILLA - May 16, 2014

I think we are talking more about teenagers. Kids have been a problem before yes but the parent would just take them out (in my experience). We're talking about when they start venturing out on their own and p***ing everyone off. I don't remember it being much of an issue until about 5-6 years ago. Granted I'm only 24 myself, but I never behaved like some of the a***holes you get in cinemas now.

Re: Legendary Pictures' GODZILLA - May 16, 2014

Kids don't know any better, teenagers are just careless *******s.

Re: Legendary Pictures' GODZILLA - May 16, 2014

I'm only 19 myself, but god are other teens so damn ignorant. When I saw Prisoners, just a few seats to my right was a group of teens ruining the damn movie. For something like This is the End, I can understand all the laughing. But when people are laughing at a serious movie, I just want to...

That's Matt Frank's vision for Godzilla 2014 based on the leaked 2012 teaser image.

It's fun looking back at the different speculation art pieces since 2012 and seeing where people were spot on or not from the final look.

This is a more recent piece of his based on the leaked Brazil poster.
