Check what Dave Myatt noticed.... Haven't heard anybody mention the 1138 on her helmet.
EDIT: DOH! Didn't notice SSAndy's post... gu huh..

I never noticed the "1138" faintly printed on the side of the helmet before. Must have been a nod to Lucas' "THX:1138" or something.... ?

I just noticed that too. Yeah, it's a reference to THX 1138. Supposedly, the numbers are hidden in the films. In ANH, it's "Cell Block 1138"

The only thing I would change about Leia is to have her right eyebrow fully painted. Right now, you can see the edge of the eyebrow sculpt left bare. But other than that, she is beautiful!

Thanks guys!

Justin-- That is a great shot of her, I like the lighting a lot. :)

You deserve every bit of praise on this one. It's going to be hard for me to display her with her mask on.

I would like to see a pic of the helmeted version holding the detached Leia head sculpt...

:mwaha

Well, when you get her, you'll have to pose her on your swingset like that ;)

Looks great, were the big nose and ears fixed? Other than that it's dead-on and worthy of praise.

Why does the handle come down at such a severe angle? Do you think she can still hold on to it?
The pistol grip is from a WWII German Fallschirmjaeger rifle. Lucas used all kinds of vintage German weapons/parts in the Star Wars OT films as you probably already know. If she has a hand shaped like the rifle hands SSC has done for other figures it won't be any problem posing her with it.
It's a great headsculpt, Andy. It looks just like Carrie Fisher back in the day.
And I'm glad to have the head and a helmet that can be used seperately. You never know when you might find a use for an extra Carrie Fisher head.

I can guess what you're going to do with her judging by your avatar. :rotfl

My favorite part of these forums is the fact that the ACTUAL PEOPLE FROM SIDESHOW come here to visit!!!!! It's better than hollywood!

Dusty, you are wonderful--what other company has people who are so connnected with their fans? And Andy, oh Andy, that scult is amazing, as are all of your pieces. Leia is more beautiful in your sculpts than I can describe. Stunning work. Would the neck joint be noticeable if we were to put Leia in another costume? Just wondering.

You have done a fantastic job Sideshow. Incredible!

I seem to remember Lucas putting a 1138 reference in each of the films.

There's this one (obviously) from ROTJ, the "Prisoner transfer from cellblock 1138" line in ANH, and the stylized numbering on the back of one of the battle droids in TPM. I can't recall where the references are in the other films, but I'm almost certain they are there.

Oh, and SUPERB sculpt, Andy! :D
