That's not really fair. You have to consider the ratio of males to females here.

From what I've seen (and posted) the guys who post do get acknowledged and receive comments. Just not usually about their looks. That's to be expected because there aren't very many ladies here. And there aren't many guys that would be comfortable with saying, hey you're a good lookin' guy! (I'm looking at you agen_kolar. )





Just because you would only compliment someone to get something out of it, don't assume that's the only reason someone else would.




Surely, you can see how this could come across as a bit sanctimonious...

Complimenting an aspect of a woman's appearance doesn't have to spring from any "need". It can be a simple acknowledgment and a kindness.







Well, it's not like your are praising some accomplishment, just expressing appreciation. What's wrong with that?


Many females are unnecessarily self-conscious about their appearance. Some sincere, positive reinforcement in that regard can be a very kind and thoughtful thing to share.
