This is all I was merely trying to point out in the first place. I just found it funny that Carbo could say that and not understand it's offensive nature. I don't think I could say that word and not cringe at the same time.

Needless to say somebody had to jump down my throat and get all offensive about it. That man could pick an argument in an empty room.

1. the term "brit" and "yank" have rarely been used pejoratively. while "___" and "paki" have been used extensively as racial slurs (by brits and yanks coincidentally). words aren't just words, they have history behind them. would you walk around in a shirt with a swastika on it, claiming it was just an ancient buddhist symbol?

to be fair, i miiiiiiight have framed my distaste a bit too strongly. apologies for that, teddy. to be honest, i usually have teddy on ignore and only saw the post because it was pointed out to me by someone else who was offended. my criticism of the comment stands but it was maybe a bit too bifurious (still nothing warranting what i got in return )

now let's see if a certain someone is man enough to apologize for calling a certain someone else a pancake stack. in the immortal words of king darkness, words hurt!

I hear ya. I suppose there is a history there to consider. I just know a lot of Whitie Canadians that giggle at the term. But yeah it all comes down to ones intent.
