I've had the book for quite some time, but still need to read it. I've heard it's quite good.

I'll be that one guy. I think the visuals look horrible. It looks like a TV movie. Or a fan film.

I'm a 24p only dude. Sorry. I'm sure it's to create a new 3D visual thing...but Its too distracting for me.

I think the visuals look excellent. The tiger is CG, yet I can't really tell! Even if the trailer didn't pull me in, I'd still go see it just for the visual effects.

I read the book and was bored to tears. Only the last chapter redeemed the book IMO.

Other than the "twist" at the end, it was a very mediocre read.

It's a great book if you enjoy philosophical reads. I'm a big Ang Lee fan as well so combine the two and I'm excited for this.

Well, Life of Pi isn't one.
Maybe I missed the point but what elements of the story where philosophical?
