Wish Sideshow would get LoRusso to craft some sort of family scene.

Wow those ceratopsians looks great! the pachy family needs some color lol
and the Pentaceratops (correct me if Im wrong) looks amazing! the proportions are perfect, and the color is good! :D

lol ! I follow the same tradition as sailors..anything beautiful is basically a " she " heh heh of course some beautiful things are masculine for example :

Just BEAUTIFUL ! but I also have to refer to him as a " He " just looks male to me. ;)

I just bought this badboy off Ebay. Since it's my first Shane Foulkes piece, what should I expect? I mean, does it compare with anything David Krentz? Casting, detail...........etc?

As long as it is legit, and not a re-cast, you should be very happy with it. I was lucky enough to view this kit up close at Wonderfest. It is gorgeous, especially with glass eyes put in. Shane's kits are nothing short of amazing. I own three of his kits, and they are all home runs. :D

Hope that helps. :wave

Sounds great & thanks, but some pics of Shane's pieces would be really helpful.

And no, it's not a re-cast, as this will ship directly from Shane, with the man autographing the base!

Really hoping that the quality is as good as it seems, cause I have not been able to buy a resin dino kit since Krentz stopped producing 1/18 scale.:dunno:slap:gah::thud:?????

I have 4 of Sideshow's dinosauria line, & though decent, I find that they do not compare to the sculptural qualities of (some) resin kits, & the paint apps fall a little short.

I've been out of the dino collecting game for a while now, so if my views are scewed, please feel free to enlighten me.:wave

Amazing stuff! I'm a huge dino fanatic since a child. I may have to get one of these babies.

Here are some pics for you Divo. These are all built up kits, as I don't have any pics of them in kit form. Hope they still help.

Here is Shane's Allosaurus, and Apatosaurus.

That Apatosaurus is one of my pieces, my most recent actually. It was built and painted by Shane himself. A lot of the kits that were at Wonderfest were built and painted by Steve Riojas.

Here is a pic of his table at Wonderfest, including Shane as well. :D

Here are Shane's two 1/15 Ceratopsians.

Lastly, here are a few pics of his 1:1 two month old Stegosaurus, built and painted by Steve Riojas. This is also mine, and it is beautiful.

Wow! Really fantastic stuff! Now I just can't wait for the Allo to arrive, & hopefully replicate some of those awesome paint apps. Thank you for some wonderful pics, & your help.

I had the same idea ! I asked to Shane to sign mine as well..;D

Krentz may be back in the bigger sculpt business soon..he's mentioned it before.

If you want to get a good idea of the game and such as is now, pick up a subscription to Prehistoric Times magazine : www.prehisorictimes.com

Thanks Blade, & you're right, I got to get back to some PT. I guess I fell off the cliff, & out of the loop, once David Krentz abandoned the 1/18 scale line.:dunno:( I consider Krentz to be the best out there, so am really hoping that Shane's work can at least come close, or dare I say(!), surpass the quality of David's work?

I think Shane usually likes to stick with the larger scales, while occasionally throwing a few smaller scale pieces in. Two of the three pieces I own by him, are his biggest kits to date. I've got his 1:1 sub-adult Psittacosaurus pre-ordered, and plan to pre-order his 1:1 Velociraptor as well. He even told me that he's going to be making a 1:1 adult Stegosaurus bust. Needless to say, Shane covers plenty of ground on the 1:15-1:1 stuff. ;)

David's work impresses me just as much, being that I don't mind collecting 1:18,1:72, and even smaller scales. If it looks good, I want it, doesn't have to be huge. :D

I have no problem with larger scales myself...except pricing..lol

I really want to see his 1/1 Velociraptor...might be the first 1/1 piece I get from him.. ;D

It would be cool to get both it and the Psittacosaur and make a 1/1 Dio with them...:yess:

That is an awesome idea Chris. I never thought of making a diorama out of those two. Their kind of perfectly sculpted for a dio already, if the Velociraptor comes out looking like Shane described. Maybe change the Psittaco's stance a little, but I think it'd look pretty wicked. The footprint for that would be pretty big, though. :horror

That's where you make your own..;) I would get a big piece of plywood cutout the shape I want, put down a layer of expanding foam and scatter a really fine mulch so it adhered to it. Some faux plants and your ready to roll.. ;D

Nothing beats 1/1 scale ! ;D lol
