Did anyone here end up getting one of these things when they were available? I think they were going for $3100 at the time only on ebay. I was bidding on one in New York, right at the last minute someone outbid me by $30. I never looked into bidding on anymore cause they were to far to go pick up. So just curious if anyone on this forum got one and what they did with it?

Chris

To be honest....I never really looked into that when I was bidding on it. I found out after the auction was over it wouldnt have fit through any door in my house to get it inside. So I guess it was a good thing I didnt win....but still....that would have been a seriously cool statue to have.

Chris

You know I seriously thought about getting one, but I'm way too busy to drive over 1000 miles just to pick it up and bring it back. However, I'm going on a road trip soon and if I happen to get lucky and find a seller that is on our course then yes I would consider it. But that's wishful thinking.

seriously?.....you got pictures?

Chris

he's camera illllllllllliterate:naughty

i actually saw one at the lcs, (different one that i usually don't go to much) and the thing was frakin' huge, i'm 6'4" tall and this thing had to be at least 8-9' tall.
looked good though, i would only be interested in such a beast if a person had a very large movie/games room with ceiling at least 10' tall.

Not only that.....how would you get it back....its one solid piece. From what I remember I think it weighed close to 200lbs too....

you know, now that you mention it, i didn't notice any seams anywhere.
and how the hell they got that thing in their store is beyond me, unless they took out some windows or something:confused::confused:

Thats what I was thinking....when I was serious about actually getting one I was looking into quotes to rent a U-haul too to pick it up and get it back to my place. It turnes out I would have spent an extra $1000 just in getting it back to my place all costs in. Not to mention the pending problem of actually getting it INTO my house without breaking off an arm or a leg. Even if I did get it in without a problem....I have 9' ceilings in my theater room. I would have had to cut out a hole in the ceiling just so his head would fit...lol :D

:lol:lol:lol that would look funny, uh dude nice statue, but where's his head.:horror

definately need at least 10' ceiling, or a cathedral open loft type area, then he'd look awesome.
even in the store he looked like he was going to bang his head if he stood up straight.

You and be both man....thats why I say it was a good thing I didnt win the auction. If I did, I know I would have gone through with it...even against my common scense and good reason.

would of made a good conversation piece as you were sitting on the deck having a beer, while the birds where singing away pirched on your hulk in the back yard. of course all the neighbours are thinking your going nuts, and the city inspector comes knocking asking for a biulding permit for you new structure that's above the 8 ft. free standing bylaw.

My LCS has one, I offered him 1500 and he is currently thinking about it...Luckily if he goes for it, my Billiard room has 12 ft. ceilings....
