No, completely handmade, sculpting (Monsterclay) and the silicone mold and then casting from plastic.
Wooden balsa planks, grass and moss - flock.
The rest is plastic.

Hey, is there any truth to 5ktoys announcing a 1/12 version of the Gunslinger? They announced and said that they were in contact with Limtoys and that a 1/12 version of the Gunslinger is in design and active development, and then they announced it available for Pre Order in July. Is any of this true?

This is what I had to deal with when I made my custom Joel. I got the head off Ebay and the eyes were super wack, luckily i found someone who fixed them for me.

Poor Joel. He really deserves something better. So I tried to fix them today:

Really can't wait for what LIM Toys has in store for us. After seeing their Nate reveal I'm sure Joel and Ellie will look amazing!

Man! That looks WAY better than before! Yeah I couldn’t stand it! I had to find someone, got a hole of a guy on Reddit and he did it for me, best decision at the time, I really REALLY can’t wait to see what LIM gives us. The anticipation is killing me

I showed it to a family member yesterday and they had to think very hard what to say... and I was like "What?!? You really need to think THAT long before you can tell me which eyes look better" I was starting to lose my faith...
Never ask a none figure collector about their opinion on figure related stuff. Lesson learned!

Me too! I still love their Arthur so freaking much. One of the best looking figures ever made! Now they're killing it again with their Uncharted Nate figure. And I'm sure they'll do Joel and Ellie justice as well. Especially Joel seems to have one of those faces that are hard to capture since all the head sculpts we've seen so far seem a little off. But if anyone can do it right it's LIM!

You did a great job. Your post actually made me interested in repainting mine as well. It’s a pretty okay sculpt and ressembles the 2013 model of Joel. CCtoys’s sculpt is better on a technical level but the likeness is not great.

Can’t wait for Lim to announce their figures. I have high expectations after seeing the fantastic job they did with Nate.
