Why do I, a huge Loki fan both comics and movie versions, still feel so meh about this piece? 'Cause I still do.

Boring, generic pose + poor likeness + enormous price tag definitely mean I will be sitting this one out.

I would also like to see XM's take on this.... well maybe not, since I could not have him. When XM does Carnage is when I will truly be breaking stuff and shouting swear-words. Maybe I wont like their take on him.... god, that Venom of theirs was brain-breaking tho. /end threadjack

You're not the only one...I've been praying for a Loki PF for years...got so excited to see the announcement then was disappointed at the pics from SDCC. I think the tailoring is great but the face/helmet/pose/lack of EX is killing it for me. I wanted to love this figure but it's not happening. I also think this is probably going to be the only movie Loki they do, maybe. Ah well, can't win em all

I think because of HT or else the Loki will be just so so. SS needs to make the sculpt as real as possible.

^^ cant compare polystone sculpts to pvc sculpts. HT sculpts will always look better than SS sculpts. Different materials and styles. SS seems to like the sculpted look that their statues have, and as we all know, statue collectors hate having anything that isnt polystone on their statues.

They're not having much luck with the head sculpts for the MCU pieces.

The only MCU statue with a human face sculpt that I've found to be up to par imo was the GG Black Widow.

Not saying I won't get Loki....as I really do want a Loki statue.

COmic illustration in statue works well. But for movie version. Aside from the material. The HT looks like the actor pop out from the tv and is in front of you. While the statue, it lacks of it... but it makes up in being larger version.

MOS was 150% PVC and the sculpt looks like **** compared to the HT one.

Love the likeness on the face though - i'll defintely be getting it as i've pre ordered the CAP and Thor to display with it.

Yes, the Chris Evans sculpt is very subpar. I do like, however, the new Thor Dark World statue. I think the face sculpt is very good and much better than the original Thor premium format figure.

Oh, phooey. These sculptors are all creating the original likeness using similar materials - most likely Super Sculpy or Magic Sculpt. [My money's on Magic Sculpt.] The likeness can be any way they want it. Vinyl is not inherently guaranteeing some superior likeness - THE SCULPTOR DOES THAT, with their own skills.

Its all good, a bad likeness is saving me money in the long run. And space.

Ordered one today. Despite the lack of a switch out head, which I REALLY wanted, I still really like this and have been hoping for it since Avengers came out so not gonna pass this up.
