great job man, the rough wall look really works well with you collection, now spray on spider webs and a couple of nice pieces of art and it will have the final touches:naughty.

i've also gone the bad ass way with my lotr collection, just don't have the room for the good guys, besides the baddies are all pretty much band on, while the others always seem to have accuracy concerns.

That's a damn fine shelf. I see baby 'Rog, but I still think you need a Daddy 'Rog up there. ;)

I noticed you reside in LA. Hope you got some QuakeHold for that shelf. I'd hate to see you loose them all over a tremor. :(

I use the clear museum gel...I take it quakehold is stronger?
I do worry about quakes...during the northridge quake, I had a 100gal fishtank move a foot...

I'm a LOTR fan myself but appreciate a fine sculpture from other lines and you seem to have quite a range there Dagger. Sweet set up!!

I've considered the clear museum gel for other items, but the QuakeHold stuff works well for a lot of other things as well. I use it as a non-permanent / non-stick solution in place of rubber cement or glue. For example, it helps to keep Sauron's head/helm and mace in place on the statue, or it helps to keep the Balrog's fire whip hand in place and the fire whip off the base. For the Eowyn piece I used it to keep her loose foot planted on the base whenever I have to move the statue. I've also used it to keep wood slats from sliding around on my mother-in-law's Ikea Hemnes bed. I put that $h!t on everything. Great stuff.

I've placed little rolled balls of museum gel in the eyes of various skulls (disney randotti) I own...in about a day...the ball melts down the face and looks like real tears...:horror
