Wasn't Mr. Lucas suposed to have a live action Star Wars tv show by now. I remember hearing about this around '05 '06 What happened?

My 10th grade social studies teacher was Mr. Lucas. He never mentioned a Star Wars television show. :dunno

He went with the lame ass clone wars. The thought of that "cartoon" makes me hate SW. :lol

I was thinking that same thing earlier this week! Weird! :google

I don't think it would work tho...but I can be wrong...I mean look at Sarah Chronicles...that was pretty cool....did they cancel that?

Unfortunately, they did. The show wasn't perfect, but it was ramping up to something promising and then got snuffed out just as it was finding its stride.

As for the live action Star Wars TV show, I heard it was still being developed. If there's money to be made, you can bet ol' George will see it through to the end.

There's really been nothing heard at all about that. You'd think rumors would be flying around at this point. I think it might work as long as Lucas doesn't write or direct any of it!

The live action show has been in pre-production for a while and was always meant to launch after Clone Wars got off the ground. Lucas asked Russell T Davies to be showrunner last year, so they're clearly gearing up for production within the next 12 to 18 months. (Davies declined, incidentally).

Production begins in 2011 or 2012.

By then, even fewer will care.

imo thats probably perfect timing.

SW will never be the huge draw it was 30 years ago anyway, so its smart to keep the pace relatively constant... 95 SE releases, 99 TPM, 2001 AOTC, 2004 ROTS, 2007-2010 Clone Wars, 2011-??? Live action.

Perfect rationing IMO. I'd even be fine with seeing the live actions pushed back another few years if it meant getting the movies in 3D.

I hope its still a go. I am more interested in the live action show than the Clone Wars cartoons.
